To start with...

DO NOT POST THE FIXTURES HERE, IT BREACHES THE PREMIERSHIP COPYRIGHT!!!

Lets be honest, there's going to be several people doing that. If they haven't learnt by now, telling them not to do it isn't going to help if they've managed to be oblivious so far. Most people don't even search before they start a new thread.

i dont reckon we could do much better than last years fixtures to be fair.

What? They were a nightmare list. I said straight away that we'd struggle and people would turn on the team because they would perceive it as a "bad start" rather than a bad run of fixtures.

You do not want to play a newly promoted side away on day 1. The best team to play is a team that usually struggles (fulham) at home, followed by a mid-table away game (boro?)

That said, I have some faith that Ramos will have the team prepared better than Jol did.

New people join all the time and a few need a reminder. You can't say we didn't try

I want Everton at home.

I dont!!! we have played everton early on at home for the past two seasons and both those games were catastrophies.

Hull at home would be ideal as we could destroy them but just a mid-table team like boro, bolton or fulham at home would be ace. We just need to start with a win

Something like Bolton, away - it'll be a real arse of a game we'll get, one real bogey team on foreign soil. If we win then the papers (and likely a load of people on here) will cry that the jinx is broken and we can romp it. We lose and we're doomed to a season of failure with Ramos the false prophet, after only one game done.

Either way i go with Bolton, Everton or, if we're really unlucky, 'pool away.

Man Utd away please.

If we click on the first day, or if they start the season slowly, and we get a win it'll be a great way to start the season.

If we lose, well the fact is they are better than us, so it's not like we will bank on beating them in order to achieve a good league placing.

Get it out the way early, then concentrate on picking up as many wins against the non-top four teams as possible, then let's see what we can do against Scum I, Scum II and the Scousers home and away, plus Man U at home in "bonus" games, namely every point we pick up against them is a good point.

If we want to finish top four then we need to look at games against the 'big four' as six pointers and not bonus points. Its all irrelevant really as the fixtures are all fixed.

Out of curiosity, where does it say that posting the fixtures on an internet forum is against copyrighted law?

I want a average Northern team away - Newcastle, Blackburn,etc...

Manchester City away and GDS runs circles round Ronnie before dumping him on the floor, going round hart and nicking one in the 90th minute. The Thai entourage pompously retire to the boardroom and refuse to meet our board members, thus provoking a mass protest by joint fans culminating in rodney marsh winnig control by way of a bet on the Thai betting syndicates.

Gen. Levy - I believe we had our knuckles rapped in an email from the Club to Rob a couple of seasons ago.

In my first post at the top of this page. I did it in big bold letters, you can't have missed it :)

Open your paper on Tuesday morning and spot the little copyright sign next to all the new fixtures. Every year when they are released the papers stump up for the honour of printing them and the forums are contacted telling them to take the fixtures down. You will now remember this little bit of information forever and this time next year you will be ITK for whoever has the very same question

Ran seal—the absolute bastards!

Archaic thrushes became OS pants.

Inhalers of industrial haze?

One possibly from York or Parma—in its entirety? Sounds like!

I'm thinking someone like Villa away. It has to be an away match, it's tradition...

So, on that note, surely us even uttering any two of the matched teams with the words "Versus", or any symbol that could indicate a confrontation of any kind, in between the names, we're in breach of copyright?

*sings* breakin' the law, breakin' the law!

ahh, being a criminals not what it used to be
