In typical Spurs style, when we're all low we'll pick it up and beat Newcastle on Sunday.
To pick up a result against Newcastle I think we need to make some brave selection decisions.

It's clear some players don't fit Ange's system very well.

I think they've been given the chances now and in most cases it isn't even a question of effort...just not really good enough.

1 point in 5 games is pretty damning in terms of what 'race' we are in.

I think by the end of December we'll be down towards 8th/10th.

Then it's a case of what Levy does to be honest.

One point from 15 is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the worst form (over 5 games) in the league.

Blame Daniel, why don’t you. He’s not good in the air either .
Well, he is the one responsible for the buying and selling, for the most part, and yes, the squad needs more than one window of work. But every man and his dog could see an injury to a couple of key players would seriously hinder us moving forward.

Yet again he has left a manager short. Let's just hope he opens the wallet early in January.

I think we were probably two signings away from being where Liverpool are now to be honest. We probably don’t lose to all of Wolves, Villa and West Ham if VDV and Maddison stayed fit or Romero wasn’t suspended. Unfortunately we didn’t have the depth to absorb their absences and we paid for it in points. That seems blatantly obvious to me - and has changed the nature of this thread!

Having taken the lead - and so dropping 14 points - in all 5 games is even more damning!

Will we? Needs Maddison back and our wingers to really improve their work in the final third

The former will come, but I have questions over the latter
We have to believe that if we continue to create as many opportunities as we are, eventually we will convert more than one per game when we're ahead. That will breed confidence within the team. There is still an element, I believe, of nerves at 1 up with both players and fans, with the amount of dropped points from 1 up recently.

They’ll never put their own money in, it is why they need to go. Imagine Ange or any of our last 5 managers (minus Nuno) being backed properly. I imagine we’d have had a few pots by now. No point getting an owed by it, we are at the stage where we just have to wait it out or we all get lucky with a talented manager battling those above him to deliver a miracle. Hopefully Ange is that man.

As I have said before…Ange was happy to take a risk and sell Sanchez and it has come back to bite him.
Whenever we have gone for the big money signing they have almost never worked out.
Daniel is not responsible for the players we buy, that is the recruiting team and the manager.
Daniel has to write the cheques. We are obviously not on the same financial level as City, United and Chelsea.
We are closer to Liverpool and Arsenal but they have been far more successful over the years so have far better squads than us. Arsenal have shifted 600m in the 4 years Arteta has been there. Big change from previous years.
I would hope that at the end of the summer transfer window we will have a much improved squad and will have shifted most, if not all, of our loan rangers. Poss paid off Tanguy.
Dier and Perisic will be gone at the end of their contracts in the summer.
obviously we need 2 in January, centre back plus striker if possible.
Richy to Saudi….we can only hope.
