At least Mason tries to attack and maybe plays more ambitious passes. Possibly explains the lower success rate. Makes a change from continuous backwards and sideways passing. He has made real progress and I hope this continues.

These are the kind of stats that mean fk all imo.
It depends where the passes occur.
If your giving the ball away because you're attempting a defence splitting pass in the opps half then no harm done. If you're doing it in our goal area then not quite so clever.
Similarly having a 100% pass rate when its all in our half and just being a water carrier is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

That miss near the end when Kane put him through made me feel sick though! It would be great to see some goals from him this season.
