On this occasion, I'd trust SSN. That story has to come from somewhere, and you would presume it's us

I can believe us saying that, if we want other targets from them eg. Lovren then it will keep them more onside with us.

Certainly wouldn't shock me if levy decided not to deal at the prices quoted. Plus he has history of not getting top targets for previous managers (AVB). Whilst I'd love Lallana I don't think he'd be vital for us to succeed unlike Moutinho for AVB.

Interesting that other newspapers and the BBC were crediting us with interest however, and they seem just as informed if not more. I doubt this is over just yet. Liverpool would have signed him already if it was 100% certain (as with Lambert)

As much as people try to deny it, SSN are very reliable...

I will be taking this Sky source with a pinch of salf tbh.

They are reliable with certain things when they are leaked to them. But i cant rememeber the last thing they got right with Tottenham. Im sure that left when Harry did.

Also with the Liverpool love in in the media it wouldn't surprise me if sky jumped the gun a bit on this just to get the news out there.

It's weird this has broken a day before the supposed transfer meeting

well i remember them breaking the willian hijack news and you lot were having none of it. some even went as far to say it's just a ploy to get people to go on skybet.

He could easily become the next Bentley. All the ball skills but no pace, so at that price he would be a massive risk. Especially only having done well for one season.

Sky aren't perfect but I still think some are dismissing them way too easily. If it was to say that according to Sky Sources we have solid interest in Lallana I don't think people would be dismissing it with such ease.

A shame if so as I really wanted Lallana. I have to say I won't mind too much but only if we're looking at other players of a similar mould.

Seems to be a huge difference between the two personality wisr. There was a very telling article on the front page recently about Bentley and his attitude

Not bothered about Lallana. I would be over the moon if we signed him but it's not a priority

I can't envision Levy sanctioning a 25 million pound bid outlay for a player without a guarantee that we'd have a heavy amount of money from outgoing sales to balance it. We just haven't seen that kind of deficit spending in recent years, and even with the massive TV money increase, I'm not sure we'll see it this year, unless we are certain to get a genuinely elite talent like Lukaku.

Lallana is a good player, though. He'll help Liverpool maintain their place in the top 4.

I'm sure Pochettino isn't really a fan! Just contributed massively to his development and if he could bring in one of his key players, that contributed immensely to their fluid playing style, we should all be pleased.

Let the Club worry about the details of any such deal, rather than getting worked up on the prices being bandied about in the press.

The big picture is about building a side that will play exciting and effective football. A three of Lallan, Erisken and Lamela could be a thing of beauty IMO.
Yeah true, and I wouldn't say no to Lallana......BUT....27m is a lot of money, far more than he's actually worth IMO. Also, I see Eriksen playing that exact role in our team, they both are quite similar in the way they look for those pockets of space. So in essence, I think this is one we should pass on this time, lets let Liverpool blow a huge chunk of their budget on Lallana and Lambert and lets carry on looking for smart purchases like Eriksen.

Lallana different class to both. I just don't get this claim we don't need Lallana. Eriksen did ok but generally we were chronically bad in the areas just outside the box.

No doubt he's a different class. Unfortunately for him its below them though.

EDIT - beaten to the punchline by others. Well played.
