Mate, just don't.

It's disturbing because it's realistic. Robbie Keane as well?

I was about to say exactly that. Then again maybe getting a club Alumni like Keane back wouldn't be so terrible? He's still tearing it up in the US. Plus the alliteration of Kane-Keane is too delicious to ignore.

As much as I dislike him as a player.. I hope he is alright & can get what ever is wrong with him wether it be a mental illness or something else sorted out.

I think already questions were being asked about Ade and these days when anyone might see him getting on a flight to Africa when the team is going in a different direction and post it on FB or Twitter or wherever it's not something you can keep secret. Far better to make a simple announcement like they have and refer to personal issue and try and curtail speculation

Of course it could be a number of different reasons but the timing on the back of recent speculation makes you think there could be something in it

Maybe, but consider Ade's character. If the club have basically told him to get lost as he won't be picked, then we put out a statement saying it's down to Ade's personal reasons, do you think he's the kind of guy that would stay silent? He would give an interview tomorrow saying there is no issue and Spurs simply don't want to pick him, which would immediately conflict with our party line.

The club has tended not to comment on matters when players have been ostracised from the squad in the past, so I don't think this would be any different.

Interested to see what happens with Kaboul though, he's not listed on Physio Room.

I put the real reason up on here Saturday but was had a go at for not providing my source. Which I wont. Only that it is an ex player who I have been close to business wise for a decade. He is very well connected at the club still.

Bottom line is that poch believes Adebayor has a mental issue. He will not play him again following the bust up between him and younger players. Levy has been told to get rid. If they cant attract a mug buyer like Harry or arab/russuan Levy will subsidise his wages to get him out of club.

Pointy shouty flappy bloke would be welcome back for a few games. Likewise Dr Offside. Both good players for us over the years and they'd only be here for about 4 matches.

But then it's a chance for Lamel/Chadli to get some goals and maybe a kid to make the bench.

Nobody will buy Adebayor at all. He is out of contract in the summer, so it makes no sense spending the sort of money and having to compensate the wages he is currently on. Ade will stay home until the end of the season when his contract is up and will then either retire or sign on a free for a new club with a huge pay decrease.

Whilst I wish Ade all the support he needs to get over whatever the issue is, from a purely selfish Spurs fan point of view, I would rather this have happened now than in say early Feb/late Jan. It must surely force Levy's hand in the forward dept.

Yes, if Ade is genuinely ill then that is not really so different to any other kind of injury.. he needs support and rehabilitation - it might be difficult for fans to take if he's still drawing a wage, but we'd all hope to get a similar level of support from our workplace if such a situation ever arose.

My fear football wise is that rather than forcing Levy's hand in a positive way, it will force us into the market against our previous plan (I'm not really going to buy ITK about 3 in for Jan it doesn't fit Danny's mo), and that rarely seems to go well, so I'm very afraid of what kind of 'options' we will go for.. as others have said.. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised to see Defoe come back ffs.

Realistically we should've been looking to get someone in in Jan anyway, with Ade being out of contract in the summer and Soldado surely not lasting beyond this season, it would make sense to get at least one guy in so that we're not going into next season with a brand new senior strike force.

But that would be sensible and thus un-Spurs.

I think you should always have atleast 3 proper strikers so getting another in Jan (maybe loan) would make sense.

So, you needed the press to confirm the club's own Twitter feed?

I doubt it's the last we will see of him. He will pop up next season and play well for 6 months because his contract will be up.
