Might have mentioned that my friend is good friends with Dean Parretts. Anyway he was at Deans house recently and Alex was there. Alex (allegedly) really likes Poch. He say's he calls him after almost every game and regularly has someone from his team at games.

Just though I'd pass it on.

I really really hope so. I am so excited about him.

I'm assuming he calls him actually means Poch calls Pritch and that some of the academy coaches are often at the games he played. This is very positive and no wonder all the young players like Poch. And I've heard so many good things about Pritch that I'd like to see him given playing time early in the season after impressing in pre-season.

Brentford manager Mark Warburton has hailed Tottenham loanee Alex Pritchard as technically outstanding and a player that can dominate a football.

The 21 year-old Tottenham academy product joined the Bees last summer on a season long loan and has been outstanding in their battle to secure a play-off spot in the Championship, scoring 11 times and assisting a further seven to date this campaign.

Such form has left many Spurs fans tipping Pritchard to be the next young player to make the break through at White Hart Lane under Mauricio Pochettino and Warburton believes he has all the necessary qualities to follow in the foot stops of fellow academy graduates such as Ryan Mason and Harry Kane.

“I’ve watched Alex from a really young age in the academy system and John McDermott [the Tottenham Academy Manager] and the team at Spurs have done a fantastic job with him.” he told talkSPORT.

“He has always been technically gifted but very small in stature so all credit to Spurs for sticking with him through the younger age groups.

“I had no hesitation in bringing him to the club. Technically he is outstanding, has a great appetite for the game, he’s hungry to do well and, in my humble opinion, he is destined for the very highest level.

“He can dominate a football. It doesn’t matter if you are five foot or six foot six, the fact is you have to look after the football and take care of it, and Alex excels in that area.

“He wants the ball in key areas, he takes it under pressure, gets on the half-turn quickly, and all the attributes you need for the Premier League level and above, he possesses them in abundance. He has got a very bright career ahead of him.”

Mad tekkers!

I have absolutely no doubt that he's ready to step into our first team, he's more than good enough. He just seems to have an air of confidence and arrogance that our players are missing.

Just been voted in Championship team of the season.

Given that that ends next week, if Brentford don't make the playoffs, is there any chance of Pritchard featuring in any of our squads come towards the end of the season?

Pritchard named in Championship team of the year. Don't understand how Bamford got POTY but not in TOTY.

Been gone in a lot on various forums. My take on is that, regrettably,. because he is on loan for a full season (and its not a youth loan), that he cannot come back after Brentford's season ends and play the last game for Spurs.

However against that, Spurs named Alex Pritchard in the squad (as an u21) in the squad list as at 31 January 2015 - so there may be a chance that Pritchard can play. must http://www.premierleague.com/conten...s/premier-league-squad-lists-january-2015.pdf

Think we'll need to wait and see !

Who votes for them? If one is voted by players/managers and another voted by journalists it might explain the disparity.

Not too sure but when they ranked the Championship players I heard that the managers do it. For PL though the players choose the TOTY and POTY, so not really sure how the Championship works
