Harry, if you're a member on this website who isn't Deselina, please sign Negredo. He is exactly what we need, much more so than Crouch or Huntelaar. Failing that Chamakh would do nicely.

SSN are saying Villa and Inter are in for Jenas again with Vieira possibly joining in part of an Inter deal.

Tottenham one of several Premier League teams to bid €20m for Alvaro Negredo

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Negredo has been the subject of several €20m bids, according to the striker’s representative Alejandro Camano.

Camano was at the Bernabeu yesterday to inform the Real Madrid hierarchy that "several teams from the Premier League" have bid for the 23-year-old striker.

Negredo is now considering his options and Marca claim that Tottenham are among the clubs to have bid for the striker who was on loan at Almeria last season.

Last week reports in England claimed that Tottenham were closing in on Negredo and he has long been linked with a move to Liverpool.

Throughout the soap opera of Xabi Alonso’s potential move to Real Madrid, Negredo has been mentioned as a possible make-weight to bring Liverpool’s price down for their central midfielder.

Alongside the Premier League clubs, Villareal and Sevilla are also keeping tabs on Alvaro Negredo’s situation.

Meanwhile, Negredo came on as a substitute in Real Madrid’s pre-season win over Shamrock Rovers yesterday.

omg..

how much was the buy back clause? looks like madrid are making a lot of money for someone who has never played for them.

i kind of feel sorry for almeria.

I don't feel that sorry for Almeria. They knew the deal, they probably stayed up largely because of Negredo which means much more TV and league money for them and able to build.

and in both seasons they had negredo's goals. it is often said that the most important thing for a promoted side is a goalscorer. look at stoke last year with beattie as compared to wba, who played far better football but had nobody to hit the back of the net.

maybe not, because since they came up there have been 6 more teams promoted from below who you'd think are worse than them. once a team lasts 2 seasons in any division it can usually last for a while.

except sunderland, who came up, had kevin phillips scoring non stop for 2 years, sold him after their third year, then went down.

sanchez is a decent manager they wont go down.

the likes of gijon, tenerife are awful.

would love the stupid pericos to go down as well. de la pena getting fit basically saved them from the 2nd division. they were 9 points adrift at 1 stage
