The training of 'SPURS' DENY INTEREST Redknapp: "We're not interested in Negredo"

  • "It's a good player, but we have not asked for it"
EFE 25/07/09 - 00:52.

The coach of Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Redknapp denied any interest in Negredo, as it had assured the British press. "No, not true," Redknapp said emphatically after the match that his team played in Barcelona.

"It's a good player, but we have not asked him," added Redknapp.

Last Wednesday, the 'Daily Mirror' ensured that Tottenham is preparing a bid of 17 million pounds (nearly 20 million euros) by the madrileño.

Why are we still talking about Negredo, isn't it clear enough that Harry wants Crouch?

From what little I've seen of Negredo I would have liked him but the deal seems dead in the water. We probably made an enquiry some weeks ago but it doesn't sound like that enquiry was ever seriously followed up so can we forget about this guy now?

He's the new Mido.

Please let this be a Winehouse.

He's tall, he's a No. 9 and his name ends in 'o'. Oh, and he's got dark hair and a swarthy complexion. Otherwise, there is no resemblance whatsoever—as you'd be aware if you'd actually watched him for five minutes.

He's an No No No like Mido who you championed a while back and look what he did. He failed.

why not?

they have missed out on huntelaar, zidane told the press today that they made a better bid for him than milan but were a few hours too late and chamakh apparently has played more as an attacking midfielder than a striker at bordeaux which explains his goal scoring stats.

Another tall number 9 would make us better balanced, but at who's expense?

I'd still love us to bring in Milevskiy as I believe Redknapp could make him into a top player. Mandzukic would also be an interesting option.

The Football365 'transfer blog' is reporting the following:

Marca are reporting the possibility of Alvaro Negredo (who is very, very good) moving to Hull City (who are not).

Hmmm, turned down by Michael Owen, Bobby Zamora and Fraizer Campbell, they somehow think they have a shot at Negredo?
