18m? Bite their hands off.
:bs:..when there's a player as consistent as Keane over last three years in a fairly average spurs team..large sums of money will be thrown at him..he is worth the money and difficult to replace!

It's great business, except we're in the football business, not the money making business.
If we can replace him and berba with two equal or better strikers, fair enough. But that's a big "if". Even if we buy two players that are "quality" there's no guarentee those players are going to do well at Spurs. Also given the changes to the team, it's hard to say whether a player that equals their goal-tally is better since I expected more goals from our two this year. Any comparison won't be like for like.
What most people are forgetting is that Keano is a PROVEN International player...and of many years standing. The Inter years were political more than failure, on RK's part. Wrong place....wrong time.
Have no doubt that IF RK was English the press would have built him up as being WORLD CLASS...a World Beater....you know the story....but no need to elaborate!
Keano will, IF he moves, entertain a new batch of adoring supporters....but this time in RED? I feel a Club V Favorite Son brewing up and, although I will never forget his input to 'WHLville' there is only ONE THFC....end of....COYS
I don't want either keano or Berbs to win trophies with there respective clubs (certainly, not domestic cups), as this means we won't be winning them. I really do hope keane plays extremely well and is happy at 'pool, just don't want him being TOO successful, because that means that 'pool are being successful...and that sticks in my throat as i hate them.it is good money for a player of his ability however he is a player i feel all spurs fans have a special relationship with due to the fact he always gives his all. But then because of how much he has given to us i feel we should for the rigt money let him follow his dream of playing for liverpool and winning trophies with the(if possible). I for one felt bad when he was saying how proud of his carling cup medal he was because i do think in different circumstances he could have bin a winner of many medals say his time at inter went better. Whatever happens i wont ever boo robbie keane bu i will feel bad if he scores against us
