I think this thread should be locked now as it has been spoiled by posters who are too thick or stupid to grasp its concept. It was a brilliant idea but it has been spoiled by those who feel the need to voice their opinion about what poster's write. even when the essence of the thread dictate that they should not. Read it, rate it if you must and move on to the next, not bloody hard is it?

Davies is the best left back we've ever signed. A titan defensively and a terror offensively. Legend.

Playing the Spurs way isn't a successful way of playing

Winning football matches might not be exciting football all the time, but counts for a lot more at the end of the season

Fans making a great atmosphere can make the difference (who boos in a semi final?)

Youth players should have time to prove their ability to play in the first team before being written off by supporters

Sherwood has said a lot of things that I and probably you have also said about the club, and some how should only be whispered in the shadows and not for the public to hear. (For confirmation see Carragher and Neville talk about Spurs)

It annoys me how we can't enjoy a good cup run without people finding things to complain about.

Pochettino hasn't had anything like the impact on our team that was expected or that some people believe. The football continues to be largely slow and ponderous bar a couple of games where teams have come to WHL to play positively. He's frustrating in sticking to plan A and has been bailed out by individual moments of magic rather Tha as a result of his supposed intense football too often.

I actually agree that on the whole we haven't really progress and I think if you were able to catch Pochettino in private he would admit that as well and that the brief glimpses of his football have been the exception instead of the norm.

I definitely think he needs to work on a plan to break teams down that stick 10 men behind the ball and for the key to it is width. The problem for me is that because we are going to stick to a 4-2-3-1 formation the width has to come from our full backs and all of them are fucking awful in the final third in terms of setting up chances or even making intelligent over laps in an attempt to create space for other players.

I'm actually quite happy with the talent in the squad, especially how the seem to have gelled as a bunch of mates as opposed to a team of players.

I don't really see any point in signing anyone, we just need to continue as we're doing as some of our crap players from last year are improving with every week

Completely agree we've been bailed out, and he does like to adhere to plan A.

However, and this may be me in the minority hence me saying it, I don't think Poch is to blame for that. Give him a couple more windows to actually move the vast amount of players out who don't fit his system, and replace them with ones who do, and then we can fully judge him. He's tried IMO by replacing far more established players with younger players who are far more compatible (such as replacing Dembele and Paulinho with the far more forward thinking and quickly passing Mason), and even then we're still being held back by such non-compatibles still in the squad.

Next year is the real litmus test. If we still don't improve after significant player exchange, he's out of excuses.

Poch's record so far:

PL P22 - W11 D4 L7
FA P2 - W1 D1 L0
LC P4 - W4 D0 L0
EL P6 - W3 D2 L1

Overall P34 W19 D7 L8

If we beat Leicester tomorrow, it'll be P35 W20, 57% win rate in all comps. Didn't realise he was actually so near to Tim's sacred record. I see a story in the Independent brewing up..
