Not 100% sure where he'd fit given we've signed Van de Ven but an absolutely fantastic defender and would be a top signing regardless. Think he'd more than challenge Romero.

He can play on the left as well because he is good with both feet. He is brilliant

Sounds like the type of player that you pull out the stops now if there's a chance because their cost will only go up

Too young imo. Our defence needs quality experience or it’ll just carry on being error prone and skittish.

Would love this to happen.

He’s been linked with some of the best clubs in the world already, so it’s now or never with this one if we’re interested and he wants to come.

We talk a lot on here about not being able to attract top players from the big clubs - we need to be smart and get in early.

Come now. What could possibly go wrong if our defence is made up of youthful exuberance marshalled and guided by the cool, calm and collected presence of Cristian Romero?

This is one guy with massive potential that I really believe will easily reach it. He is class already and will only get better.

He's been linked with Madrid, Liverpool and United...apparently has a £77m release clause.

I'm sure we do like him but just can't see it happening. If Kane goes and we spend the money on him though it would go a long way to lessening the blow.

If Orban is £20-30m and then we put the rest on this guy that is the Kane money gone but a good striker and CB for the future isn’t a bad deal. This guy does seem like a superstar CB, be certainly an interesting signing.

Giving me Ruben Dias transfer vibes. If we don’t get him now, we never will

Benfica are going to be bending clubs over here for a fee though - especially after selling Goncalo Ramos to PSG for megabucks

Good thing we've got a shit ton of money to spend on a new top tier CB then!

I actually am really interested to see how Ange would see him fitting but there's no denying he's quality.
