We will agree to disagree, Martial with his bit part in United’S season has been by time played their most productive player. Jose simply can’t be bothered to develop him, same for Rashford. Only thing that that forces Jose to play Rashford more is he is a united youth player.

Son is far too hit and miss to ever be a worldy. If he doesn't score he literally does nothing. I like him, but our most frustrating player, would definitely take Zaha or Martial over him because both of these can do a better job up top with Kane out and are powerful quick runners who no one catches after 10 yards. We don't have that in our team. Yes, Son has done well for us, but i feel these players would balance our team more and this is probably Son as this most expensive to sell following his goal numbers.

He's not similar to Son at all apart from his position.
Son's a better finisher but Martial has much better close control. Different players.

Martial when having a run of games is pretty deadly in front of goal and way quicker as well.

If our aspirations are to win the league then this level of player is our only way of achieving it. Whether it's him or someone else that's the level you have to be aiming for now. This goes for centre midfield too.
Young guys with huge potential but unproven are all well and good but it could be years before they develop.
We need here and now players who go straight into the team and improve us if we want to take that next step.

Son has had 2 fantastic seasons back to back. He runs at players, links well and scores goals. If this is inconsistency, I'll take it. He actually played well a lot this season bar the final few months. He might not have been an 8 out of 10 every game but he has always been a threat

Son has had purple patches in 2 seasons straight. This year was a goal every 193mins, 8 in 15 games. If you look at his overall productivity outside of that period its not that good. He's my most frustrating player as he no doubt has the ability, but it's not often enough for me. Him along with Lamela are expendable providing we can upgrade.
