Im going to try that at my local Odeon.....”One Al Pacino....you only sing when youre paid to.....im so bored it’s unbelievable....”
I think youre onto something here.....
:D

Don't forget the other classics like "You can stick your fucking popcorn up your arse" and "sing, sing, wherever you may be, this was much better on DVD"

I do it all the time. Well, I did until the court order kicked in.

We don't need to, nor should we pay our players that kind of money.

Well at least until we have won a Cup, saucer, teaspoon or the like.

Amazing how self entitled fans just want to reward a player for reaching a semi-final or losing by the odd goal after taking a lead.

Amazing...

If our turnover is going to be around 400m ...if the wage percentage to turnover stays at around 50% which it is now as we pay 100m wages...in theory the wages could double and would be same as Arsenal at 200m. Cannot see that happening but there is a lot of scope to keep our best players. We have made approx 55m from champ lge this season plus the money from some big games at Wembley . That would not have been in the budget so it is vital that we get back in again.

Our wages have already increased since the £100m figure. It has been over a year. We would also have paid out massive bonuses for getting in the cl. Under harry our wages jumped from £65m to over £90m when we qualified.

As i said we'll get a clearer picture when the financials are released.

Last statement I believe was 2015/16.

Our turnover was £210m. Can’t imagine we have doubled it within 2 years.

@Hoops mind enlightening us on what your OP is based on?

stadium 100m
food and drink 15m
Merch 15m
tv 150
sponsorship 60
CL 60

Last deloitte report was for 300m

Turnover is already at 300m in the latest figures from last year. That only included CL games at Wembley and reduced 30k WHL.

The full season at Wembley this year will probably bring in 350m at least.

We got approx 35m from CL and EL last year. Arsenal take 100m at the gate we certainly didn’t at WHL Nowhere near

Not sure. Its usually about 20 pc gross

Thanks just wondered as someone mentioned to me that west ham have posted figures of 43m but I suppose when your paying only 2m that maybe possible if those sums are correct of course as i haven't seen them myself.

Turnover should be around 400m next year. New stadium, world class training ground. Champions league squad. world class season ticket prices too.

How do y'all feel about that?

There is no reason why we cant pay our best players 250k to 300k a week now. Apart from people like Ronaldo, Messi or Sanchez. Everyone else should be attainable. Including dare I say it, Bale!

I would like to see Vertonghen, Lloris, Kane and Alderweireld given new contracts straight away to keep this team together. Then we should be in the market for some elite players in the summer. There are no excuses now.

Does anyone know what our profit was from the last set of figures.

Due to player amortisation profit is pretty meaningless.
When you buy a player the cost of that player is spread out of the duration of his contract. Say if you buy a player for £10m and he is on a 5 year contract then it will show as a cost of £2m for that years financial statement. But if you sell a player the total money will be included even if it is split up into payments over a number of years.
Thats why when we sold bale but spent the money on other players we recorded a massive profit. When in reality that money was gone.

What are you trying to understand from the profit? If it is how much money we have available for players look at cashflow (money in the bank).

I would imagine our cash flow is quite healthy.

The last financials are up to june 2016 so are well out of date. New one should be this month for up to june 2017.

We'll have a bit of a better idea then.
I'm just interested after hearing about hammers latest accounts although we have nothing to worry about as the club is in safe hands.

You'd have to ask hoops. AIA have increased sponsorship but not sure by how much. Nike deal. CL money. Extra matchday revenue from wembley. All add up. But how much is based on newspaper rumours and guess work.

In their last report Deloitte said our turnover for this season was up to £306m

Agreed, but it goes deeper than that very often.

Sadly, you have to be able to read and understand balance sheets as well as P&L accounts to understand how rich a company is, and I’ve never yet seen a report in a newspaper or anywhere else that does that properly. Most of the financial reporting we see, even (or especially) the Deloittes tables, is laughably superficial.
