Are we only 2 strikers away from a title tilt?

Nzogbia wouldn't be a bad shout for cover for bale and Lennon. Reckon we could pick him up for about £5m if Wigan go down.

No chance getting him for 5m. A lot of teams will be after him if they go down. Probably looking at double that. He wouldn't start for us & can't see him being happy only getting a handfull of appearances a season because unless harry has learned from this season squad players won't get a lot of appearances

He's definitely a decent option. Surely the guy is on a level sort of par with Ashley Young?

I'll tell you what, if Wigan go, which I don't think they will, Rodallega wouldn't be a bad buy.

ah come on he is average enough mate. he is no better at end of day than pav defoe or crouch. what we need is someone to really push us on rather than one that might be a hit or miss. nzogbia is fine player though and can play left or right. cud be good shout

Are you saying that because he plays for Wigan, or because you've actually watched him play? I think he's a bit of a handful, and as a second or third choice striker he'd not be bad.

He's known for having a bad attitude though isn't he? He's been playing in the EPL for 8 years now and never really kicked on. Wouldn't see him as an upgrade on Pienaar or Krancjar really.

My opinion is that we shouldn't be thinking about bringing in players to sit in the bench. If we intend to play one up front next season bring in one, and then think about other positions we could improve.

It's true that it's a squad game, but I think if we are playing one up front, Crouch and Pav are adequate backup.

3 Strikers
1 RM
1 GK - Gomes, I know he is making me bald, but I got a soft spot for the Fella. Keep him.
1 RB
2 CB

Thats what I think, and a huge clear of the dead wood, which we have been hanging onto for far too long. How much wasted in wages?

It's interesting that the balance seems so much better with Sandro in midfield and when we play a hard working midfielder as one of the wide men.

Considering that we can play Bale or Pienaar on the left, but only Lennon on the right, maybe it would be worth signing a grafter for the right (especially if we can count on Walker as an attacking fullback next season).

Obviously a couple of strikers and for me a top, top class centre back.

I'm assuming that Parker will arrive too, which is fine.

While that's what needs to be done, it's asking a lot from one window let alone 2 or 3. You're asking for the total movement of upwards of 15-20 players for one team.

I would in honesty sign four new strikers. It's drastic and almost certainly doomed to failure but there are actually now quite a few exciting options out there and to give the likes of Falcao the best chance of success I believe that we shouldn't be afraid to develop a proper "striekforce" as opposed to crowbar-ing in a couple of signings into the existing underperforming unit.

Besides, if we spent 30m on Rossi or Falcao they might end up catching Shititis from the current bunch of clowns.

Which four would I buy? At present (and this changes on a daily basis), probably:

Falcao
Vucinic
Sturridge
Bellamy

Next season we'll have 60+ games so with injuries and suspensions it really wouldn't be all that hard to 'keep them happy' (God forbid they try to do that for us) as long as they were rotated well.

I would look to pick up Steven Fletcher from Wolves if they went down as our third choice striker.

Definitely a GK to replace Gomes who, in my opinion, cost us 4th this year. Been impressed with Henessey at Wolves this year, maybe a couple of million plus O'Hara.

Two centre forwards a must. I think Harry would get Adebayor motivated, make him feel loved, and you have a hell of a player. Lukaku as his apprentice.

Marko Marin to come in and give us a dribbler to unlock the packed defences that we will face at WHL next year.
