Believe it's only a year ago we had 1 million likes on fb, so it's going in the right direction.
The thing with facebook likes though, is that you don't have to be hardcore or a paying customer to click on the like button.
People who are just slightly interested in football might click on like,
and they'll do it for clubs they've heard of from the Champions League.
The true strenght of a clubs following is shown in the financial results and on the stadium.

If Bale take another season with us, my bet is we'll turn 3m likes by this time next year

I always tought the fantasy premier league fan numbers were a good parameter of the most supported clubs in England

Does anyone actually care about these figures?

I'm spurs and proud. Love it when we win and am in dispair when we lose. Enjoy going to the games when I can go and love talking about my team and the general banter with friends and colleagues which football brings.

I couldn't give a fig about how many likes we have on FB.

Half of these likes are probably from people playing FIFA and PRO EVO on the PS3/XBOX. Definitely those for Man City and PSG anyway. There's no way there are 3.5 million people who actually like PSG. They're bloody good on the games though.

Worth visiting OS as it includes photos that I haven't included here (as I am not sure if allowed).

SUPPORTERS CLUBS LATEST - THREE MORE CLUBS JOIN THE GLOBAL SPURS FAMILY

Posted 09 May 2013 3:15pm
North Carolina, Utah and Hong Kong are the latest Official Supporters Clubs to join the ever-growing global Spurs family.

North Carolina celebrated by re-enacting the famous 'Declaration of Independence' painting by Trumbull!

Staying in the States, Atlanta Spurs enjoy a huge turn out for our matches - just look at them celebrating post-Arsenal, above - and chairperson Matt Stigall feels our support will only grow in the US.

"We all have this feeling that support for Tottenham is about to explode," he explained, especially with NBC covering the Premier League from next season.

"A whole audience of fans will be looking for a club to support and we feel it is our responsibility to introduce them and attract them to our club.

"Fans might choose who they like from watching TV, but if they sit down with other fans, they will be hooked!"

Atlanta Spurs watch games from the Ri Ra Irish Pub, 1080 Peachtree St. Atlanta A 30309.

easy to dismiss social media as 'it doesn't matter': but it does.

Spurs have become reasonably proactive on facebook. Here's the rub chances are that 99.99% of everyone who likes our page won't turn into anything more, with little or no further interest in the team. HOWEVER - that 0.01% that do could become customers. Could become fans who buy a ticket, who buy a shirt. Hell they could even be a youngster that in a few years time might receive an offer from spurs to join the team.

Saying it doesn't matter is wrong. It does matter, which is why almost every organisation in the world is joining in. Social media is here to stay and only the dinosaurs of marketing, sales and entertainment ignore it.

And as a fan it gives me some solace that I can add my voice to the team outside of what they do on the pitch. I can show my interest to all my friends, allover the world.

If we aren't spreading the word about our team, who else will?

Have you met all your friends from all over the world?

Whether you like it ( facebook) or not, this is a thread about facebook and Spurs: how am I spamming the the thread? :banghead:

The whole thing kinda read quite spammy, sorry. It's the only genuine spam I've given but I felt this was worth it.

I didn't want to disagree, thought spam was more apt
