What are you talking about? There were five million people on the streets (including myself) waiting for hours and hours in the midday sun for a bus to go past them which they soon realised was never going to reach them and all they did was continue dancing and singing until the helicopters flew past and then they went home peacefully and licked their sunburn.Which of course descended into chaos, people kept trying to jump onto the bus and the players had to be airlifted out.
Argentina's World Cup celebrations descend into chaos in Buenos Aires as fans clash with police
Football journalist Tim Vickery told Sky News there were people trying to jump from bridges onto the bus carrying Argentina's national team as millions gathered in the capital.news.sky.com
It has also been confirmed that a 24 year old man died in the crush.
Rhetorical-ish question but at what point did humanity reach a state where people no longer can just celebrate without causing massive crushes and dangerous situations? Was it this bad there in 78 or 86?
Two idiots tried to jump onto the bus. A group of about twenty looted a printer from a bank later that night and were detained by the police. A score of idiots among a multitude of five million. There could easily have been crushes but there weren’t, because all this humanity wanted to do was unite and celebrate.
