I was surfing through Arsenal Mania and happened to stumble upon a thread called 'taking the carling cup seriously'. i was reading it and i became annoyed at the arrogance of some of the arsenal fans.

So this is what we've been reduced to, the Carling Cup?

We've really hit rock bottom now.

Cheers, Arsène.

Oh for chrissake. Man up, Arsenal-Mania. What the f**k are we, Tottenham?

Things like that makes me more ashamed of this site than of the team.

They haven't won a trophy for 5 years, not good for a 'massive' team like Arsenal?

though some have been more dignified and said it was worth winning. It just annoyed me that they think that the Carling Cup is somehow 'not worthy' of winning. W**kers

They can turn their noses up at it but meanwhile what's in the cabinet?

Dust, dust, little bit of dust?

Why does it bother you? I'm happy for them to not take it seriously and remain trophyless.

The last thing we want is for them to be bragging about winning it with their "kids"

You just have to look at the previous winners over the past several years to see how seriously the big clubs take the Carling Cup now. They may field weakened sides, but they still go into it with the intention to win. And why wouldn't they? The more trophies you can win the better. No doubt they (the goon fans) would celebrate a Carling Cup win if they went all the way. But they wont, cos their kids will bottle it when push comes to shuv.

I was looking at that site earlier today. They're still taking the piss out of Bentley because his freekick went in off Kirkland's back for our 8th (EIGHTH) goal. Why try to reason with that? :)

I have noticed that this morning all the smarmy, Woolwich supporting usual suspects have been a bit quiet. Usually i get to work and have to go through at least two or three gloating reds, going on about how they destroyed even teams that they knock over 1 - 0, how they looked like world beaters etc. but this morning - not a dickie bird.

I've not gone on about it, i just give them a smile and go about my day. It makes me feel good but you can guarantee that if they win the next game then they'll be going on about winning the league again, how they're above us etc...

Their heads work in funny ways

Chelski have consistently taken the competition seriously which is why when we beat their full strength side in the final it meant even more. If Woolwich are happy to play their kids, and for the media to bust a nut over them when they beat Championship teams in the early rounds then so be it. 3 trophies to play for in England, EPL is a two horse race so there is only the FA and the CC, I'm more than happy that we take the CC seriously.

Arsenal fans are ****s.

I am waiting for the day Wenger leaves them and they are left with no money and a manager who cant hack it with the limited resources Arsenal have. Theyll be screwed. Theyve started taking Wenger for granted and thinking they can do better, arrogant twats.

Though that is exactly what we did with Jol and look how well that turned out for us once we got in our 'cultured, sophisticated replacement.'
