Familiar sign today I thought?

Wasn't it around the middle of February when Blackpool beat us 3-1 a few years ago. What's with Arry's teams running out of steam around the time when winter ends and Spring is coming...two defeats on the bounce now with a squad at his disposal that should be winning the Championship - or at the very least be obtaining automatic promotion with a second place finish.

Havn't been keeping too much of any eye on them. The odd game, watched the Derby game last Monday night....more out of interest in terms of Carroll and to a lesser extent Benny...but is he fielding the same eleven most weeks....are they running out of steam?

They've lost their top scorer Charlie Austin due to injury, they haven't scored much goals in the league and he was their main source of goals, now they're looking a bit one dimensional.

Think of it as us losing Adebayor.

But they've just signed Doyle who has scored twice in their last two home games. They've got a huge squad as well compared to the competition around them..

I've seen them a few times this season, it's just classic Redknapp.

Uncoached mayhem that relies on individuals more than strategy and system, signing every player he can under the sun (7 strikers at the moment), and he'll surely find someone else than himself to blame when the wheels really come off.

Look at some of the players they have there, they should be walking this division. Even if they do get promoted, which could happen, it'll be because they just have superior players to the rest of the division in most areas of the pitch.

As for the way he's been misusing Tom Carroll, it's criminal, but I expect nothing else from Redknapp to be honest.

Pretty terrible if he cannot get them out of that league, just because of how much more money they have to spend.

I did wonder if he had his head turned (yet again) when West Ham were going through that rough patch? We all know how 'Arry loves a little rescue mission, and him going to the Spammers to try and save them from the drop would have been a fairy tale story for him.

Even without Austin, they have Zamora, Doyle, Maiga, Keane (Man Utd loanee), Andy Johnson... Backed up by Hoilett, Matt Phillips, Kranjcar, Benayoun plus others and they cant score goals!? Pretty shoddy for the money they have paid.

Unbalanced team I would guess. I saw their line-up earlier and it looked like Kranjcar was part of a cm2... He just doesn't learn!

I watched their game against Burnley and it was typical Redknapp, no cohesion, no plan just utter lottery bullshit ending in a 3-3.

I recorded today's game because I was hoping to see Carroll, but the idiot had Kranjcar in a CM2 with Barton, not for the first time either. Kranjcar CM in a 442, you couldn't make this shit up. Remember when he did that against ManC for us ?

Even when he plays Carroll, the games I've seen he plays him in a CM2 (442) and has him sitting holding more with Barton bombing on more. It's all good and well giving him game time, but he could be getting so much more out of him if he played him in the correct role and set up.

At this point I'd rather Carroll be back with us, I'd have more faith in Sherwood using him than Redknapp. Ideally we alternate him with Bentaleb and play them as the passer in a Cm3.

Yeah definitely, he's totally wasted playing CM pissing into the wind under Redknapp.

I don't understand this comment, if you play a midfield 3 aren't they all allowed to pass the ball?

When you see that list its embarrassing alright, especially when you see what Sean dyche is achieving with a fraction of the resources at Burnley. I have been impressed with Danny Ings and reckon he would score goals in the PL - definitely worth a punt for say £5m. The trouble with Arry is that if you give him £100m he will try and buy 100 players rather than 10 really good ones.

I am worried for Tom. He gets so much hate from QPR fans and they see him as useless. Also, I think Bentaleb is now higher than him in the pecking order as well so...

As in that's the main skillset, to retain possession and put other people into good areas.

Alongside him you have the player who sits more and screens the defence, and the box to box player who can do a bit of everything but gets up in support of the central striker.

FM stuff to me, central midfield players should be able to do a bit of everything, no point having a DM if he can't pass the ball 5 yards, or a passer if he can't win the ball or a box to box player if he's shit on the ball.

Just my opinion.

I didn't say they couldn't do anything but, of course they should be able to do a bit of everything but I think if you have a role/have midfielders with different primary skills then the team often has a better balance to it.

Not being funny but you could stick us in the championship and I wouldn't put my house on us getting automatically promoted.
It's the most competitive league in European football, bar none.
Especially when you go down with players who have the mindset that they are too good for the league and all they've got to do is turn up to win!
