A change in the board/manager could go either way. They still have much more money than us as we speak but spend it very badly. Particularly wages. When Wenger goes though, that'll be a huge change. Might not be as smooth a changeover as many imagine. Let's not forget this nice passing football with emphasis on possession and attack is all Wenger.

It's not the assnal way. It's the Wenger way. Has he been there long enough for that to automatically stick when he leaves the club?

Who knows. assnal will get their act together sooner or later and when they do there'll be nothing we can do about it. Especially not without a new stadium of our own. I only hope it's later.

If they get taken over and hundreds of millions it won't make much difference. There are only so many excellent players. Real, Barca and manure all have cash and status. The scum will have to compete with chelsea, citeh and PSG. they will end up throwing away hundreds of millions and not getting much better.

Disagree. They will get better...a lot. Wenger will be moved up, a new manager brought in and will have the chance to replace a lot of average players with better ones. Money doesn't guarantee success but it helped Chelsea and man city win titles, buy top players and become part of the premier league elite.

It sounds like a wind up to me.

So the club is valued below 800m, and these mystery bidders are willing to offer 1.5bn? Why? They could get it for way less than that.

Also, the promises made, 'cheap tickets, better atmosphere' etc sounds fantastical.

And there is no reason to buy arsenal specifically. The source states that this offer will only be available now, not if arsenal goes into 'further decline'. Why does it matter? You could shove £1.5bn into Norwich and turn them into the best team in the world. This article definitely seems to be stretching the truth. Either way, hopefully it might unsettle them before today's game.

Yes, I understand the logic, but where are the players going to come from? When we had the old top 4 they took all the best players every year. When chelsea got the cash they were one on their own, and they targeted the best, since then Barca and Real have become even bigger, city are competing for the same players as well. The competition is basically the same as it was before, a few teams competing for the best players. They will just have to pay more, as I see it. I hope they do bring in a new manager as Wenger has been fantastic, the next one may cause a stutter, and disharmony etc.

It reads like a PR stunt.

Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't the bid be reported to the stock exchange?
