Ozil has 20 odd assists last season playing for Real Madrid, feeding playing like Benzema, Di Maria, Higuain and the prolific Ronaldo along with others. Can't see him getting the same with Giroud, Walcott and Carzola (plus Podolski when fit).

He is a briliant player, but I would prefer Lamela and Eriksen.

Can you all take a chill pill. There is no team in the premiership that is 'runaway'. This will be the most hotly contested title in years. We have a much stronger squad than we did last year. If you told me we'd have 5 of the top 25 players in Europe at WHL and that's outside our brazilians I would have laughed you to the emirates. We need time to gel - we will - our players are professionals. Look at how arsenal changed their approach to playing us. Parking the bus at the emirates - 6 deep? Once our top 3 learn to penetrate we will be scoring at will.

Way too much for him. Let them pay it. We have sold, and bought...

Ozil is one of the best no10s in the world, actually I'm struggling to think of any one better.

Real must be crazy, they've sold Ozil and Kaka and are now relying on their new boy Isco to be their main creator. Going to be a lot of pressure on him, and if he gets injured they would have to push Modric there but no way is Modric a better no10 than Ozil imo.

Arsenal fans celebrating like they won the league lol.

I will probably give them that they have signed a world class player now and we've only potential world class players but we have built a team and, for the main part, addressed area's we really needed to address.

They haven't. And that's the difference. We've done better than them in the transfer marker and whilst they have made one brilliant signing, I honestly don't think it will change too much for them. They created chances before, they will create more now, was never their problem. They will still leak goals and still be very average off the ball.

19 & 18 assists in the seasons at Werder Bremen before he left to Madrid so it's not about the players he played with in Madrid but more the fact that he's a creative genius.

The fickleness of football fans never ceases to amaze me. Arsenal have signed a brilliant player, nobody can deny that. That doesn't make our 7 very good signings any less good.

Arsenal are one hamstring tear away from having to play Bendtner upfront...

Think about that for a minute...

My question is why the bejesus didn't United sign him?! They've had a shocking window

Totally agree, UTD with their midfield even if they sign Fellaini isn't anywhere near what they need.

Where do you pay Fellaini in a 442 or 4411?

He's not mobile enough to play in a 2 an central midfield.

They could struggle to make the top 4!

And this is the point.

Yes Ozil is a fantastic signing for them, truly one of the best players in world football and probably the best in his position. But lets not forget they still have a feeble squad who are suseptable to injuries and they are still lacking defensive cover both at CB and DMF.

The thing that will get you places in this leave is your squad, if you have balance across the park and you have players that can adequately replace your first teamers you'll be okay and we have that in abundance.

So I'm not worried one bit, when the dust settles and we get into the season people will start to see how things will pan out.
