I agree with you and I'm enjoying the football we are playing but we can still play good football without passing back across the goal so often. It's not necessary it's just as easy to pass it forward if you move into a position but we do it 4 or 5 times with the opposition closing in and the the panic passes creep in.
The way Ange plays it very much is necessary as it draws the forwards into advanced pressing positions which allows us to play around them.
A forward pass instead will not create the same angles.

And I didn’t see us panic once. Yes we got caught in possession a few times but panic?? Far from it.

I’ve not seen anyone mention that for the pen, the ball bounces up from a tackle, it’s not a direct shot. Should that make a difference or not? As I don’t know anymore, but in my mind that should make a big difference as to whether it’s a penalty or not.

Does anyone understand he handball rules ? The Refs don't otherwise we wouldn't have the inconsistencies we see every weekend.

There was an ex ref on TS earlier saying that the deflection onto the hand is only relevant if it is by the player who handles it. So if it had hit Romero and then went on to his hand they might have considered not giving the penalty. He also said it took so long to make the decision because they were only discussing if it should ALSO be a red card.

Thought we looked the most likely going forwards. Even at the end I wondered if we could nick it. I think we'll be happier than them.

Harsh own goal, harsh penalty, Vicario barely tested.

I hope Johnson and Madders are ok

viewed the game again and appalled at the poor performance from the referee!

He should be relegated to the Champo and Vicario was very lucky to escape a serious injury after that horror challenge from N’ketiah when he didn’t even touch the ball!

Shocker and the ref couldn’t wait to yellow card him

Var should have reviewed it as it was a certain red imv!

Raya over Vicario? Don't think so.

I don't think Saliba individually is any better than Romero either, but it's a close call.

I also don't get the wank fest over Saka, sure he plays really well sometimes, but there's no consistency there, i'd say he's even's with Deki.

Martinelli I agree is probably better than what we have right now and I'd take Odegard over Sarr, but that's it.
Rivalry aside, Saka is absolutely class. He got 15 goals last year compared to Deki's two. The only right-winger in the league who is better than Saka is Salah.

It shows how well Udogie did yesterday as he grew into the game, but Saka really is an incredible player.

Who saw the black dressed Arsenal ultras in the front of the not sure what end? Cringe!

I think they were the infamous ‘Ashburton Army’!

They threatened to take over at ours last season but apparently only about 25 showed up 15 mins after the kickoff with a large police escort!
lol 😆

Where’s Danny Dier when you need him?

This needs to be addressed, a manager encroaching his area to intimidate/put off an opponent. He’s such a ****

I hope he does it again and gets clobbered by an oppo player

He does it every week and gets away with it every match. It’s pathetic.
