But people need to NOT get on AVB's back with this one. We started so well, he was brave enough to go 2 up front. If Ade had stayed on - we'd have scored another. But Sod's fucking law came to fuck us up again in a big game. Ade's sending off is 3 steps back for the evolution of this current team - it really is - and that really irks me and no doubt AVB too.

Let's just hope we can lose with a little bit of dignity.

Oh and FWIW - Once again Gallas as a CB is just a fucking disaster.

Let's be realistic. Do you actually think we have a decent defence to challenge for a top 4 this year? Besides Vertonghen, I doubt any of the top 4 sides will want any of our crappy defenders. The one player we couldn't afford to lose, yes.

Look at what happened to United, AT HOME, against City, when they went down to 10 (Evans sent off). They lost 5-1. So yes other teams do it too.

Utd were losing when they lost a DEFENDER so went for it and got caught out. We were winning when a STRIKER got sent off. As Punky has pointed out, losing a striker should not affect out midfield and our defense, at least not directly anyway.

We've bottled it and been shown up for the shambles we are.
