Walker at centre back against Falcao, this'll be good. Though to be fair, any of our centre backs against Falcao is a worry

It's either him or Huddlestone/Livermore. At least Walker can outpace him? I'll be very surprised if Kaboul plays.

I'm a little concerned how little pre-season action our first 11 is getting. The opener is bearing down on us, not to mention the NLD and Europa qualification. I'm resigned to whatever happens with Bale, but the haphazard preparation for the season is frustrating.

Avb seems to always be overly causious about new signings. Chelsea played their Conferation players the other day

Shame, we get in paulinho early, but he can only feature one pre season game.

What I'd like to see:

----------------------Lloris----------------------
Walker----Dawson-----Kaboul-----Rose-----
-----------------Huddlestone-------------------
-----------Dembele--------Holtby---------------
--Lennon----------Defoe-------------Chadli--

Subs: Friedel, Naughton, Livermore, Parker, Sigurdsson ,Townsend, Falque, Carroll, Adebayor

Arghhhh.... nooooooooo.... horrible team!!!!

Back five ok. Anyone but Hudd, Parker for instance, but if we're thinking about next season then Carroll or Gylfi. Adebayor before Defoe - on which note I'm surprised we're thinking of selling him, I'd expect Defoe (who I love because he's yid through and through, but is severely limited as a lone striker because of his lack or work-rate and intelligence) to be sold long before we considered selling Ade who's a perfect back-up option for Soldado. One other thing on Ade, I read that people think City are paying his wages, this is incorrect I believe, as far as I know he got a lump-sum signing on fee in lieu of high wages, and it was City who were forced to pay it, hence the delay in signing for us. I think his wages are approx £90k p/w and we pay them all.

p.s. instead of all this -----------------player--------------- malarkey to get your team centered why do't you just use the standard [center... /center] formatting?

You can just use the centre formatting icon on the tool-bar as well:

And our subs at Monaco - Friedel, Naughton, Stewart, Bentaleb, Carroll, Huddlestone, Townsend, Kane. #THFC

We're going to get slaughtered at the back. Up against arguably the world's best conventional number 9 and two young players out of position lol. Lucky it's only a friendly I guess.

Ha. From Dawson, Verts, Kaboul, Gallas and Caulker at the beginning of last season to Livermore and Fryers at the beginning of this. :ROFLMAO:
