Cant help thinking how important mason getting benteke sent off was its small details Like this that when your not playing well you find a way of winning, Chelsea have been doing shit like this for years especially under Maureen.
Sometimes We are Our own worst enemy we are too Nice at times this was refreshing to see.
Very true point buddy you have hit the nail on the head. Also without trying to defend our players (past and present) too much, I feel that we as the fans often claim our players have a lack of caring and fight but perhaps sometimes it as simple as you say: they're too nice and gentlemanly.

Saying "Have a good game old chap" with a sweaty loose handshake rather than "We will fuck you up" with a knuckle-breaker and a threatening stare is how we often come across, I'm not joking either.

Fed up of looking like the "nice guy team" although still getting bias criticism and hate from opposing clubs, pundits and even commentators to an extent. It's a lose-lose situation. We may as well be aggressive and blood thirsty and get the same level of hate surely?

Exactly!
He has to drop players that aren't performkng and the two most at mo are kaboul and Adebayor. Hate the fact players know they can play poor for a number of games and stay in team, and a player like Kane be so in form and not get in it. Play one bad game with mourinho and you won't play the next 3

Kane Deserves his chance. Simply must start.

Loved Kane stopping lamela from waving the imaginary card.

Also, I have a feeling Benteke may not be too keen on wanting to join us now for some reason.

Love the fact that three of our better players today are products of our academy. I know Andros gets a lot of stick but I would love to see him, Mason and Kane get a run of games together.

It should be noted that andros was the reason we got the free kick in the first place.

He's a top player imo and makes things happen.

He's spurs through and through as is mason and Kane. Get walker back and we have that all important English spine.

Most likely, if it happens though, they must be Poch's first choices.
We'll probably see something like Paulinho out and Jay Rod in in my opinion - though who knows he may want to stay at Saints for the season if they're still flying

Last time I suggested this people said he was more likely to go Man City too so I dunno

I'd hope we were still looking at both him and Schniderland personally and if it meant selling say Paulinho and one of Dembele/Capoue I think we'd be upgrading our options greatly

I won't hold my breath though

Did we play without poppies on our shirts today? I didn't really take note during the game but just watching MOTD and seen them on all other kits today.

I do wonder what is going on there - beyond seeing the last manager who sat Ade got sacked before christmas. Almost seems like Poch is trying to make a point with Ade, and show Levy that he needs a new striker in January. But, I also think there are things that happen on the training pitch that we don't see, or are privy to - something has to be different with Ade's attitude there to warrant even the vice-captain role. So, Ade must be doing something right, somewhere...
To be honest, sometimes you can't go buy what happens on the training pitch, but on match days and on match days...

Playing much better.

We will score shortly and then go on to get the 3 points.

You'll see.

I'm rarely wrong.

Anyone that really knows football could have called this.

All I hope is hamster cheeks can now fathom our best side.

He has benched dembele and Pauline so it's possible.

It's obvious our best side includes a mixture of soldado, Kane, lamela chadli, Townsend, mason, eriksen and lloris.

A fit walker and a composed, focused Rose would help too.

Our cbs are pretty dire atm but talking of dire I wouldn't mind seeing dier and an interested verts there.

Not sure who our dm is tbh.
