Very true point buddy you have hit the nail on the head. Also without trying to defend our players (past and present) too much, I feel that we as the fans often claim our players have a lack of caring and fight but perhaps sometimes it as simple as you say: they're too nice and gentlemanly.Cant help thinking how important mason getting benteke sent off was its small details Like this that when your not playing well you find a way of winning, Chelsea have been doing shit like this for years especially under Maureen.
Sometimes We are Our own worst enemy we are too Nice at times this was refreshing to see.
Saying "Have a good game old chap" with a sweaty loose handshake rather than "We will fuck you up" with a knuckle-breaker and a threatening stare is how we often come across, I'm not joking either.
Fed up of looking like the "nice guy team" although still getting bias criticism and hate from opposing clubs, pundits and even commentators to an extent. It's a lose-lose situation. We may as well be aggressive and blood thirsty and get the same level of hate surely?
