It really isn't. Why would they put themselves in the position of authenticating or confirming something they know nothing about? It just isn't done. If something comes from the club 'officially' then it'll come with a letter or certificate of authenticity, they have no control (or very little) over what players sign at the gates or wherever. It just isn't their business to authenticate or confirm anything, blimey, if they started that they'd be inundated. And as for items signed ten years ago or more, good luck finding someone at the club who'd be sure of that. Overall, it just makes sense for them to not get involved.Wow that's complete bullshit.
It needs someone else to say this is so and so's signature, such as has or will probably happen in this thread, that's about the best you can hope for really.
