I like that on the day he was clearing his desk, he still found time to sign my mate's birthday card

feck I am bored with this already.............bring on the Mighty Tim

Everybody's building the big ships and boats
Some are building monuments, others jotting down notes
Everybody's in despair, every girl and boy
But when Mighty Tim the footabll manager gets here everybody's gonna jump for joy
Oh come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Tim
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Tim.
Oh you know I like to do just like the rest
You know I like my sugar sweet but guarding fumes and making haste
You know it ain't my cup of meat
Everybody's out the trees, feeding pigeons all under the limb
But when Mighty Tim the football manager gets here the pigeons gonna run to him
Oh come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Tim
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Tim.
A cat's meow and a cow's moo to you know I, I could recite them all
Just tell me where it hurts you, honey, and I'll tell you who to call
Nobody can get asleep, there's someone on everybody's toes
When Mighty Tim the football manager gets here everybody's gonna want to doze
Oh come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Tim
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Tim.

a week is a long time in football and a day is just a coffee break...

*Sorry if it's already been posted, cba to look through*

Looking at this, I appreciate last season. Gareth had excelled to new heights, some of the goals were quite outstanding. Plus I loved how passionately he used to celebrate.

I wanted him to succeed, I wanted to rub it in the Chelski scums faces. :(

Definitely United away when we gave it a real go for a change rather than just rolling over and following the Fergie script. Infact away games in general - apart from City away Andres record stands up there with the best - even this season.

Can't think about football today, it's the first time in a long time that I'm really worried about losing a Spurs match :(

On a positive, I loved his style last season, If Pep made me buy suits and shoes in a certain style, it was AVB who sold me on trench coats, he had a sartorial elegance but it was clearly the beginning of the end when he started wearing that Wenger-esque sleeping bag coat and that god awful Spurs suit.

Gutted it didn't work out and concerned that we're going to fuck it up again

Utd & Citeh games last season.......watching us play there makes you wonder were it all went wrong this season. Cannot for the life of me understand how he went from celebrating the way he did to scolding and frowning all the time.

I'm just appreciative of seeing Spurs actually dictate games home and away for pretty much the first time as a fan.
Just a shame that (for what ever reason) we didn't have/couldn't get the players to turn that possession (and it was mostly good possession play) into real chances or creation.

I'll whisper it, but i would much prefer a possession based game (albeit with a higher tempo) then the harem scarem you attack we attack see who comes out top (or defend and counter) approach that i have witnessed at the lane for most of my years as a fan...

Cheers AVB, it was a lot more relaxing going into games knowing we would have most of the play... (well until recently)

I'll always wonder what we could have achieved and how far we could have gone if we hadn't sold Modric. I know it was inevitable he would be sold, but he was just the type of player AVB's team craved. Jol had his best player sold (Carrick), Ramos had his best player sold (Berbatov). AVB had to deal with losing Modric, Rafa and Ledley, then Bale. It's no surprise that the one manager in our recent history who didn't have his best player sold also managed our best league positions.

Heart was well and truly ripped out.

1 talismanic defender that was head and shoulders above any I've ever seen, one midfielder that could not only knit play together, change tempo and find killer passes but whose movement is so clever that it makes others movement better. a player that could ooze class and find passes no one else could even see but was also capable of the breathtaking and the most expensive player in the world...

Also in trying to replace them we have/had added to the amount of players unfamiliar with a new system which was just being implemented (to go with the new surrounds new live and new team mates)

All in all I don't think it went too badly considering.
