I still think he is a coach of immense proportions but the majority of fans didn't want him and I guess they are all chuffed now to be saying I told you do, certainly the British media is.

He coach elsewhere in Europe now and he'll be a success

Are you saying you've seen his knob?

I'm not sure the majority of fans didn't want him—or at least that the majority of SC members didn't want him. Of the latter, there seemed to be an equal division of clear for and against, with the majority happy that he should be given a go. I wasn't wildly enthusiastic, but realised we'd probably gone as far as we could with Harry, and AVB seemed the best choice; I daresay I wasn't alone in that view.

Ok, if it has anything to do with AVB, why hasn't Townsend/Llama/Eriksen/chadli formed a partnership with each other, or a left back? So Rose has been injured, but he remains unproven, despite some nice goals over the year sand a few good games.

In fact, why have none of these players (attacking forwards) been able to partner with Soldado?

The answer, in my opinion is the revolving door team selection. Why drop Lamela after he banged in a goal in Europe and finally looked confident? How many times has Townsend cut in and it's not worked? Has anyone seen Soldado for Valencia and how he thrives on balls rolled from behind him, at pace, between defenders ON THE DECK?

All of these little things add up, and with one striker with no service, no cohesive midfield partnerships, it's no wonder we don't score.

I guess a plus is that we spent ages fannying about in midfield, which protected our defence!

What was it about the purpose of this thread that you didn't understand?

Are there really not enough threads on this forum in which to discuss his shortcomings that you felt you had post about them here too? If you really have nothing good to say about AVB, I wonder that you even troubled to look at this thread, let alone post in it.

It just seems so...........................petty and unnecessary.

What part of me deleting my original post leads you to believe I don't get it.

Read everything I posted, then come back to me.

Idiot.

Pretty much as everyone else, loved the passion he showed, and the high points were certainly the OT win and the comeback against City—especially as I was watching the latter on my City-supporting brother-in-law's fuck-off 50-inch plasma, with him and my nephews getting very mouthy.

The fact that you deleted your original post doesn't invalidate my question, does it? It was asked using the past tense.

And I've read everything else you posted, thanks, including further criticism that you haven't deleted.

I'll leave the lame ad hominem attacks to you.

Why don't you go pick a fight with someone who has a similar lack of brain cells to yourself? Better still, go join an Arsenal forum.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway.........AVB.

Sorry it didn't work out for you, Portugeezer. I had high hopes for you and really wanted you to succeed.

Like many, my favourite memory is the celebration with Bale and the rest of the team after that goal v West Ham.

Good luck with everything that you do in the future (unless you're managing a team against Spurs). Hope you take with you some good memories of your own and always have a place for Spurs in your heart.

I'm not here to argue, just discuss football.

If others want to take issue with my opinion, that's their opinion. Which as far as I know is just as valid as mine, but not more so.

Simply starting a fight with someone isn't what I am here for.

Look a my other posts, they either discuss tactics or try to be humourous. I don't attack anyone.

The West Ham away game last season was a big highlight for me, refused to be beaten, the togetherness and sheer delight of the celebration of Bales winner. I really thought we were on our way after that. How we changed from a team that conceded late goals to one who scored them, it was almost expected towards the end of season.

His passion and the dignified way he conducted himself throughout his time with us. Really disappointed with the way it all ended but wish him the best for the future. Good luck Andre and thanks.

The thread title does give the game away.

This thread is for the good bits. There may not have been too many, and very few this season, but good bits there have been. There are other threads in which to discuss the less than good bits.

A lot of great memories tbh, we were so close last season to setting up a dynasty, seriously a point or two and we could have been looking at a whole different complexion to the team this season, funny how it goes really. Anyway pretty gutted for him and us and feel he will go on to be successful elsewhere. Shame it wasn't with us, he seemed the perfect fit
