Most of which are back to our keeper.

how many go back to the keeper then?

These dont show that most go back to the keeper

Last 3 League games:

Terrible game today, that Dawson bloke.

Goal was his fault. Didn't protect his keeper. Didn't create any concerns from our corners etc etc.

Could have played any one of our other 3 choices of CB instead.

Was he better than Capoue ?

Perhaps more pertinently would you pick Dawson or Capoue next week to play against Suarez ?

Fuck me, you don't let up, do you?

Yes, I do think he was better than Capoue.

Capoue was caught out of position several times in the first half. Not that I blame him, as it was his first game at CB for us.

As for the second part of your question........alongside whom?

For all his shortcomings, we're buggered after Vertonghen's injury. With or without Chiriches, Dawson plays if fit.
Dawson was poor giving away possession against Fulham that led to their goal but he also provided enough of a challenge getting back to stop Fletcher opening the scoring for Sunderland in the first half when Capoue was nowhere near getting back.
He's a leader for us on the pitch, is by no means rubbish and is one of our most experienced players.
So until Vertonghen is back and isn't asked to cover LB AND AVB sees Dawson as a more reliable option than Vlad, he's our mainstay CB. I think the Vertonghen-Kaboul back pairing is a pipe dream at the moment.

£9m was good money for Steven Caulker, but we could really have used him now.

I don't care who is injured I never, ever want to see Dawson play for us again.

Oh what a surprise.

When all around are playing like one legged cripples, you single out Dawson.

He was poor at times today, but certainly no worse than...........well, everyone else.

Anyway, you get your wish Wednesday. he is suspended. So you can delight at West ham sticking a hatful past all our other non-existent defenders.

Sure that will please you.

Your support of Dawson is as admirable as it is utterly misguided.

I fully accept his failings today.

I just hate this singling out. There were others out there far worse today, but no sign of a thread for them.

This was a team disaster, not an individual one. Although AVB may have something to say about that.

I'm not talking about his football ability in this post and I also hate to single players out, but I really didn't think that was a captains performance today. I thought we needed a leader out there more than anything after Paulinho went off I didn't see one.

TBH, having been booked himself, it was probably hard to go hell for leather in his own game. Playing with fear etc.

Still, I don't know what else we can do. We have no-one else now.

True although that yellow was a bit silly, you would never see Ledley King charge at a player like that and get booked. Now I am being unfair to Dawson though, comparing him to the great one.

Plenty of poor performances yes but Dawson is consistently poor and his mistakes are costing us. He was surpassed by Paulinho today, I'm tempted to start a thread "Paulinho, is he really Brazilian".

Honestly I'm glad Dawson is going to be suspended and I'm glad Paulinho got sent off. We would have lost anyway, at least this way we're forced to play without either. The downside is that we don't have cover at the moment.

That's quite a big downside
