I'm not saying he would be a good or bad choice but our u21 and Next Gen teams always seemed to play good football in the last couple of years. If he gets the job till the end of the season then you never know what he might be able to do.

My only concern with Sherwood is that Levy seems to like him; given Daniel's judgement on footballing people that is not encouraging.

On the bright side, how embarrassing is it for United that Spurs have sacked the manager despite being above them in the league...ha

Breezer you seem to be close to the club so I find your championing of Laudrup disconcerting. That said I will support whoever takes charge.

I wouldn't read too much into any of that dude. Yesterday he said he'd heard Laudrup mentioned weeks ago, then he said he thought it was Capello "because he was at the game"... You couldn't make it up. Only he probably does.

Depends what way you spin it. Is it embarrassing for us that the biggest team in the world are willing to stand by the manager and give him time and we aren't ?

The only tiny bit of hope I have in Sherwood is from the rumours about how he has impressed in his current role at the club. That and the delusion that winning the prem as a player will somehow help him as our manager.

Other than that, I find his personality horrendous and can't forget how he wrote off half our team when he was a pundit on Setanta.

Who did he write off and with perspective was he wrong?

Thing is, even when United have lost, they are games they could have won. We have been soundly beaten in the games we have lost and been relatively fortunate in the games we have won. GD is a good secondary measure of where the team is, it does not make good reading.

I wonder what they are going to put in the programme on Wednesday...
What will the managers comments be on the first page...?

Wasn't being entirely serious with that remark but I get your point. However, I don't think United would be sticking with Moyes if this were his second season...
