That's another advantage I suppose but it still seems like the main reason for having this is so that the bartender can do other things while it's filling up. As in, that's the idea behind coming up with this design in the first place, so it just seems odd that we're not using that feature

I think it's literally just about the speed of filling the glass.

It took 6 seconds to fill the glass....what task could a bartender start and finish in 6 seconds???

Given that it's cashless they can do the contactless payment etc. in 6 seconds. All they'll do is press a "beer" button on the till and then select "card payment" or something and then the customer taps their card down.

For one beer it doesn't make a huge difference but the point is they can put like 5 beers on the go and they all just fill themselves rather than them having to stand there manually pouring all 5.

Also on a similar note, for 1 customer it doesn't make any difference waiting 6 seconds but in the half-time rush if you imagine that one bartender might need to serve 100 people or something, if you can save 6 seconds serving each person then that adds up to a lot of time saved and potentially more beer sold because they'll get through more people before everyone has to go back to their seats for the second half. Then if you scale that up to every bartender in the entire stadium then it makes an enormous difference.

Yeah like I say, that's one advantage, but a much much bigger advantage is that the bartender doesn't have to stand over it. As I've said in my post above this one, that's especially important if someone orders a round of several beers cos they can fill them all up simultaneously. Whenever you see this system demonstrated that's the main thing they show you because that's the key selling point. So it's just a bit odd that we don't seem to be using it properly. Like I say thouhgh, maybe it's just this bartender who doesn't know how it works properly or something.

haha
That would require a level of memory and mental dexterity I have yet to encounter in someone employed to pour a pint at Spurs. Must be new staff. Kidnapped from Oxford & Cambridge :D

They don't have to. There are multiple buttons on the tap, one being AUTO. If they hit that it fills to a pint. They can however do it the manual way and just hold a pour button too

just asking did anyone drive and park at/under the stadium?

when Chris Cowlin parked he went in via Worcester Ave, yet apparently the site says Worcester Ave, and Park Lane are closed all day on a match day

How was the view from near the gods mate? I am in 516 seat 20 but have'nt been yet.
Didn't go yesterday and I can't go Sat either (pregnant missus arranging the diary :() but I can't see it being bad at all. I was in row 5 of the top tier at Wembley, so this is going to feel like front row tickets in comparison!

Was there any part of the stadium concourse that were closed off? I'm guessing just the bit for the away fans? I ask as I'll be going into the stadium via the north stand on Saturday and my old man will be going in via the south stand and so we'll wanna meet up once inside.

I noticed yesterday that the 1882 lounges were all closed. I was told they are to be ready and fully functioning on the palace game!
On another note i expect the builders to be back immediately to fix the bifold doors that are in the south stand entrances. I was at the very front of the queue and told that they were locked and are waiting for the key. 5mins later sum guy working for the club seemed to think they were in fact unlocked (which i think they were partially) and he proceeded to open them in a panic and he actually ripped the hinges off on 2 of them. Royally F***** them up the numpty.

Bit of a long shot but did anyone happen to sit in block 517, or any other block in the top tier in the North stand on Sunday? If so do you have any pictures?

I thought the same watching the videos, the whole point was serving 10,000 beers a minute, well not if you're spending your time watching the one beer.

Surely it's to do with wastage as much as time it takes.

I was right at the front too as this happened, poor bloke didn't seem to understand how bifold doors work at all!

Hey chaps.

I mentioned earlier that it may be nice to have some vids of SC members talking about the new stadium
to post in this thread.

It would be vox-pop style, done on a phone, not anything high-tech or involved and would only be maybe five minutes each.

Who is going on Saturday and who'd be up for having me ask a bunch of questions (some relevant, some pointless ;) ) somewhere near or in the stadium and then have their vox-pop posted on SC and YouTube?

Also, is there anywhere in particular in and around the new stadium that people would like to see pictures of?
