Great game tonight from :clap:mr. chewing-gum:clap:

I have never rated this fella. But tonight he deserves praise. IMO the best player in our back 4 tonight. He made no def. mistakes.

If he gets better with his finalball when he goes in attack, he can be a good player for us....

So far the best LB performance by any Spurs player this season...

I don't think his passing or attacking play was very good tonight but I'm not going to give him any stick. I definitely didn't come away with the impression that he'd played a blinder. I thought Corluka was better.

He's had a good couple of games, well done BAE. Never been the pile of shit some seem to make out he is, but he definitely has his fair share of 'giving the ball away for no apparent reason' moments.

i think he's been great the past couple of games, really developing nicely, has a new look of maturity about him this season.

I thought he played pretty well against Bolton as well, in both games he's looked very sharp in some of his tackling on the byline and cutting out balls, but might get caught out more when he leaves an opponent with more room to run into.

He's another one who, with a good run in the side and a clear run from injury, could become a very useful player, IMO. He still goes about his job without a lot of fuss yet can spring up with some decent runs and the occasional amazing cross. He does give a few balls away but compared to some of our other recent left backs he tends not seem quite as cavalier in his trickery on our own goalmouth and at least save it for further up the pitch.

I agree with your comments on his attacking contribution. However defensively I thought he was solid. And I always prefer defenders that can defend. It stands in contrast to his usual MO of a decent pass and poor defending. Now if we can get solid defense and a decent pass combo out of him, we're all set.

He played well. I too have never been a big fan of the lad, but he turned in a very decent performance. We aren't going to suddenly change into to best team in the league, but solid team performances like this will get us enough points to stay up fairly comfortably.

his defending in the past has been dodgy, bur i've never understood why he gets so much flack. any defender needs to get a run of games to get the best out of them, he was injured for an entire season and just needs a run of 10 games to settle well, i believe he makes a better left back than Bale. Same with Hutton he has just come off an injury lay off, a run of games will eget him back to the hutton we know.

I thought he was lucky to escape a booking earlier on and possibly a second. He was flying into tackles quite recklessly, shame he didn't really hurt any of their players :)

I thought he had a lot better game on Sun against Bolton, He's a good tackler, hes fast, good control and his short to medium passing is good. However i think his longer balls need to improve he always tries to curl them into a player and very rarely hits the mark, the one other thing he needs to improve is his positional play, the amount of times a long ball went straight to walnut with out a challenge this morning was astounding, I think walnut had way too much space in good positions. I dont mind him having space when he tracks to the halfway line but at the edge of the area...... if Walnut had scored 1 or 2 of the shots he had it would be a different story.
I might sound a bit negative but i dont feel negative, postional play can be taught and it doesn't help his longer balls that we dont often have many targets to hit meaning he very rarely has an easier option. I think he will be a really good player in time. All in all a good game.

Does anyone understand why he's become so much better in the last 2 games ? Its not like you could blame Ramos as he was awful under BMJ as well.

His is undoubtedly the biggest transformation under Redknapp.

Ive always thought hed make the grade, i think he has a touch of class, as a team i think the pressure the players put on themselves has a massive effect on how they play, everyone made mistakes last night, not closing down, slack passing, poor tackling in midfield, we were actually kicked off the park in my opinion but the ref seemed to let eveyrything arsenal did go.

he did really well, he must have been told to put some 'stiffer' tackles in on Walcott, it worked too, Theo is a handful and is having a great season for them but doesn't like it when he's constantly harassed all game, BAE did it all game on and off the ball,
well played Benoit!
