Van Basten's angle was so difficult and it was an amazing goal, especially in an international game

Di Canio's was sublime, the ball is coming across him and he's hitting it on his right foot (Karate kick style) which is a lot harder than hitting it on the furthest foot.

Van Persie scored a good volley against Charlton a few seasons back but think it may have been a shinner

very lil pressure..in the final of Euro 1988. and ur country had never ever won anything prior to that...

while Bale was playing against mighty Stoke in our 2nd league game of the season..

I very much doubt 'pressure' came into it in either case.

Shoukd the keeper really have been beat by DiCanio's though L ?

I think the biggest thing for the keeper is that he couldn't have expected Di Canio to hit it, he's probably looking for him to take it down. By hitting it as he did I can't see how the keeper could have set himself, and in the end he was beaten by the sheer pace.

Great player Di Canio wasn't he?

He's a friend of mines best mate, his family stays with them in Rome every summer. says he's a great down to earth bloke and going anywhere with him in Rome just causes total chaos as he's mobbed everywhere!

 I probably would have put Bale's third out of the 3 listed, it's better than RVP's as well, I just slung that in because it's similar in someways. All 3 listed are wonder goals either way and it's a good topic these ones are all coming across the body.

I wish there were more full volleys from corners, but Scholes has that one all to himself. Hudd done a good one in Europe but with a slight deflection
