Clearly not or someone would have done that.

I imagine most victims want to put it behind them and aren't willing to risk prison time because of that piece of shit.

His dad came out the other day saying that it wouldn't have been possible because Gary was a strong character and wouldn't have had it. But you can't help but feel that it's a demon he was dealing with and couldn't escape it. Or perhaps he witnessed it when he was younger and lived with years of guilt? Guess we'll never know.

I'm sure you don't mean to be insensitive but that's not how abuse works. These boys were victims and it's not about physical power but emotional manipulation. A victim often feels ashamed for "letting" it happen and wants to block out the whole thing but sadly they can't and it often comes out later in bad relationships, addictions and in other psychological ways.

To say that when they are big and strong enough they would go back and physically sort it out shows a lack of understanding of the affects of abuse on the victim and belittles it. It's not the same as if someone hit them a slap one time.

Or maybe they figured it wasn't worth going inside and doing a stretch for such a lowlife bastard. As with so many other situations, it would have been the person caught retaliating who gets punished, rather than the person who commits the original crime and causes the retaliation.

If clubs have covered this up then it's a completely different kettle of fish. It's horrendous what's happened but if clubs have helped coaches hide away and continue to do it then surely they must be prosecuted too. Even if it was Spurs I'd want us hit with the harshest punishment possible.
