Those reactions by Lloris to stop the ball on the line. Just see it again and wow, it's like one of the fastest movements by a person I've ever seen!

Second game in a row A Dembele sub has made us worse. Poch needs to learn from that.

The he brings composure vacuum Sissoko on, to further compound our lack of control.

Very lucky to get a point in the end.

Yeah, I wrote about this after West Brom. Vic seriously might suffer from dual personalities cause the moment someone sits next to him he befomes less composed on the ball and starts to be pulled out of position. For me it is Winks or Alli or no one.

Sissoko is a head scratcher for me. I like his France video but we have seen 0 of that this year. If he is not given yards of space to build up his pace, he is little more than a body that can help secure a lead. And the way we play I like Josh and GKN (from what I have seen of him in a Spurs shirt (about as much time as Sissoko has had)).

Happy with the point at the end.

We're so solid nowadays, even when we're sloppy, we stand firm. Love it.

I can't believe how few shots we generate. Even when we're playing well, we just hardly ever seem to get into a position where a forward player either works some space and shoots, or lays the ball off successfully and another player shoots.

The only one who seems to try and do it is Son.

We seem to have become the new Arsenal, desperately tippy-tappying around inside the box trying to create a goal where we end up pushing it over the line with someone's arse cheeks.

We still aren't clinical enough, second half was the polar opposite to the first half, I have no idea why we seem to only be a one half team (in terms of attacking) lucky to get a draw in the end.

Reality is we really need to learn to put our chances away when we have them because right now it's starting to look like that without Kane banging them in we don't look like scoring or like we have someone composed enough to score.

Because I don't think teams are prepared for our intensity, but once they get their heads around it and get amongst us we often lack the composure to pass our way through it.

Kane can't come back quickly enough.

Another bullshit game. The better side in the first half, but once again, as soon as the second half starts with opposition applying the smallest of extra pressure we go to pot. Poor decision making, passing goes all sloppy and as for Poch's sub's, what the fuck are the about? What is wrong with our managers, they give us hope, then start providing us with brain farts on a regular basis leaving us all baffled... Take off Janssen who was have a very good game and brings on Dembele.

It's good result in the end for the way we hang on, but fuck me that was just another grade "A" disappointment. We seriously need to wake the fuck up when teams go up a gear, because it has been seen many times this season that we can't go up with them.

maybe Kane's 'greed' isn't so bad after all

I mean. That doesn't engage with my post at all. A few times this season I think that Poch's decisions during a match have made us look worse in game. I think that happened again tonight. Your point on league position isn't really that relevant and a little hysterical.
I'm getting a tad fed up with people going on about the mythical plan B, in-game management and substitutions. They have no clue about the trust he has in some players or what his plans are. He seems to trust players and gives them time. For example, people criticise Lamela and don't realise his importance to the functioning of the team.

I have to say......Dembele has completely vindicated the (very early) calls to get him on :playful:
Just because he isn't up to speed doesn't mean it wasn't the right call. They played possum with their press since we didn't really pose too much threat. There was still no control of the MF by either team in the 1st. If we had it perhaps our chances would have been higher quality. They handed us our asses in the 2nd when they dominated MF. Just because it didn't give us the MF impetus that was expected doesn't mean that a change for that purpose was incorrect.

Seeing a team like Leicester virtually qualify from their group so easily really pisses me off at our wastefulness. We need to be so much more clinical in games. !st West Brom, now Bayer. Its annoying how we dominate halves with umpteen clear cut chances to score and we eff them all up.
I don't know why we aren't able to be more clinical in games, is it a mental thing or are we not doing enough on the training pitch to cut this sloppiness out in front of goal..?

Dembele was rusty as fuck, mate. He kept misplacing simple passes.

He misplaced balls when we were attacking but stabilized central midfield. The CB's started to get more confident passing out through the middle when he came on, the full backs then pushed up and that's why we looked so much better for the last 10 minutes compared to the rest of the 2nd half

If we'd put away the two or three chances we should've in the first half, we wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad as we were the second half, with that cushion.

You miserable bunch of gooners. Regardless of the performance, an away point today was a good result. Leverkusen are not mugs and haven't lost at home since March.

So fucking well deal with it.

By the reactions of you lot, half of you will top yourselves if we lose to Bournemouth on the weekend.

What, so we are not allowed to discuss the performance of the day in the match day thread.

Get over yourself...
