I'd also like us to keep David Bentley for at least another season. Yes his form was far from what was expected last seaon, but he did say that he a few personal problems to deal with.

Also if I remember right this time last year a lot on this site where saying we should get rid of Lennon because his final ball was crap, so even though DBentley didn't step up to the mark this season, he surely helped motivate Lennon into having a fantastic season, so he signing wasn't all bad. Therefore next season his presence should help to keep Lennon on his toes and DB couldn't possibly have as bad a season again.

That's the thing though, our Midfield doesn't need strength in depth as we have that. We need strength in quality. And plus Bentley isn't worth £18 million. He's crap and over-rated, buh bye. :hello:

He's over-rated from his decent season he had at Blackburn, which i'm guessing made us think he'll be a good signing. Everyone is saying now they don't rate him, but i bet a few have changed their minds since actually seeing him in a Spurs shirt.

Bentley's had the entire season to prove himself. HR nurtures English players - he even gave Huddlestone a chance. The problem with Bentley is that he simply doesn't offer enough. He's useless in defence, and isn't particularly lethal in offence. Yes he could score great goals and sometimes cross well, but that's just not enough given the competition.

He needs to move on.
