Im also not sure why Lamela isn't starting, i would have thought he would probably have been benched for sunday so i'm surprised he's not starting tonight. That team looks like its going to lack a lot of creativity.
resting the majority of people who will be playing Sunday.

I would rather had played the youngsters and given them a shot, tbh.

Acceptable team, only thing of interest is Walker, as others have stated. Why is Chadli "demoted" to starting the most unimportant match of the season so far? Is he not our top scorer?

he got injured and others performed in his absence, so he has to work his way back in. similar story for rose.

#THFC subs: Lloris, Lennon, Lamela, Fazio, Capoue, Davies, Onomah. #COYS #UEL

#THFC team: Vorm; Walker, Chiriches, Kaboul, Rose; Dembele, Stambouli; Townsend, Paulinho, Chadli; Soldado. #COYS #UEL

Team is ok, probably only Soldado would start against Swansea, But would have preferred to see Dier get a game at CB as a reward for playing out of position at RB, Width in Townsend, hopefully a goal from Chadli and attacking fullbacks.

But why only one youngster on the bench ? We don't need BOTH Lennon and Lamela there, but both Onomah and Winks could have done with some minutes as experience. Disappointing to see Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, play youngsters and Spurs are so reticent to do so

At this stage, with the youngsters, its just about the experience of travelling with the first team squad to a tough away game in Europe. Chucking them in from the beginning of a match like this could set them back in there development. They need to be managed carefully.

Really great to see Walker making a start. He'll be rusty, i hope he doesn't fuck up and then everyone climb down his throat! He's been sorely missed

Disappointing to see Kaboul in the 11 and Capoue in the 18. I dont want to see either in a Spurs shirt again. Would have taken Ball to Turkey and started him. Would have put Winks in the 18 over Capoue.

Hope Walker only plays 30-45. Want him starting this weekend.

Yeah, although i still doubt Lamela will start on Sunday. I do find it surprising how Poch is so vocal about backing and wanting to play the kids in interviews etc but not actually taken the opportunity to field any when the moment to do so arises. Odd move move really, especially leaving Winks out all together.
