Cosmic summed it up... the pitch SUCKED! I'm not too fussed, but some heads have gotta roll this Jan, starting with Dembele.

nah nah Dembele needs to be coached to be more effective. He has many of skill sets and played quite well for an hour.

Agreed but from the Clubs point of view we got good money for modric which is the important thing to remember.

We had no choice to sell Modric. I don't take issue with that inevitability. What I take issue with is how utterly and confoundingly stupid we've been in our since that point midfield replacements.

just got in, so not a good game then?
Don't listen to the others, it was actually a really good performance from us. I really suggest going on ITV OD and watch the whole game. The match was so good they even had a fancy light show twice during the game... Trust me, you won't be disappointed.....

So proud of the boys tonight.. They did their utmost to prove why they should not be in the first team. Well done lads, great effort.

To be fair we already knew and would've preferred a little more composure and clinical finishing, but we're really grateful guys, thanks for...not much.

I recall the times when we were looking forward to Europa League, whilst I understand the competition doesn't really have the glamour, I was excited because I genuinely believed we had a chance of winning, also it was good entertainment most of the time. Now it really is a hard task to sit through it, the same turgid style is thrown on us and we seem to be unable to create chances.

I hate it when ppl say this as I like to remain competitive but if we continue to show no sign of improvement then I wouldn't mind giving Europa League a miss just so we can focus on regaining an identity and style.

Awful pitch and terrible delays. I am not too bothered as this was mainly our B team playing and tonight you can see why it's our B team. No Bentaleb, Mason, Eriksen, Vertonghen. Lloris, Kane. Dembele has to go, but on a plus note good to see Walker back who is seriously lacking match fitness.

That goes to show how far spurs have fallen from the champions league season, when you name players such as bentaleb, mason and Kane being the better players than 30/26/17/15 million pound superstars we've acquired the last few years! It's a shock when you actually stop and think how far we've fallen!

And it all lies at the feet of a little bald madman! If he had invested when it was needed in that champs league season, and got us a soldado, a lloris and a vertonghen! Just think what we could have done! Maybe Luka and bale wouldn't of been so eager to leave.

Regardless of Poch, most of these players are no good. So we have to get rid of them anyway.

The important thing is having the right people deciding which players we ARE going to buy. Not convinced that Poch can do that. Levy and Baldini definitely can't as the record shows. Hopefully this Mitchell guy can but I have my doubts, mainly because he was recruited by Levy who just has no idea what he's doing.

Honestly, this club is just an utter shambles with no system or strategy. We don't even have scouts ffs. I see nothing to suggest that this slide won't continue.
Does it matter who we have looking for players? Mitchell has a search criteria that involves looking for relative unknown talent that can be picked up cheap, as per his role at Southampton. Levy will not sanction deals that will improve us, because that will cost us more than we are prepared to spend. Out of everyone at Spurs who has failed this club, he is the worst of them, The minute ENIC sell up can not come quick enough for me now, though I am sure there will be many members of the BSODL club who will stand up for him.

The future used to be bright for us not so long ago, now it seems it is full of impending doom.

I keep seeing talk on here regarding philosophy in other words playing style but where is it over at Utd lvg has mentioned it but they seem to be turning a corner we dont appear to be doing anything.
Even pulis got palace solid at the back and turning out results on a regular basis so why cant we,it seems we win a game then lose one again very inconsistant and poor to watch.

Not a terrible display but we are totally toothless in front of goal . Soldado offers nothing can't finish, hold the ball up, bring others into play, no pace , he is simple not good enough if we had a powerful or speedy or preferably both striker today the game would have been over by half time

We should not buy anyone in Jan unless that 1 world class player is there? More importantly we concentrate on moving on as many average, not interested and poor attitude players as possible. We should buy only players from now on that improve the starting 11. I am feed up with buying 80 odd million pounds of 7 squad players when 2 starting 11 world class players would have seen the team improve greatly. Tonight and this season has just not been good enough.

Fair play to our second string team tonight, they were fucking garbage going forwards just like the first team.

What a miserable last few years of supporting Tottenham.
