There’s a narrative appearing all over this thread that our players “didn’t turn up” against Brighton. The historical reality is that Potter totally outmanaged and outfoxed Conte and that the latter does not possess the tactical flexibility to adapt.

Throughout the first half, our defenders in possession were looking for a vertical pass into midfield or a ball through to Kane. Every passing lane was blocked, every time, so they never tried it once. Instead, they passed out to an ineffective and well-marked wingback or punted a hopeful ball over the top. Bentancur was available for a pass on multiple occasions, but always under pressure, so he was isolated and never received the ball in a location where he could turn, run or pass. The result was totally predictable and simple to defend.

We needed a third midfielder, but Conte doesn’t do those.
Played 3-5-2 at Inter. Must have been another midfielder in there somewhere.
Place in there for Eriksen.

My stomach could churn butter at the moment. I’m down to flesh on my fingers and the bowls are reciting the sugar plum fairy. The nerves, the nerves -it’s killing me.

I am absolutely bricking it. Anything other than 3 points and realistically we're pretty much out of the race.

Personally think it's only possibly 'over' if we lose here and Arsenal beat West Ham.

Not winning here just makes it difficult, but certainly not over.

Excited for this one! Think we’ll win.

Going to be amazing but also weird seeing Christian play against us.

I would think Arsenal would have a great chance against West Ham. With nothing left to distract them, and getting up a head of steam, we should assume that they will win the rest of their games, bar against us. Seeing we have one less game than they do, effectively, anything less than maximum points from our remaining games will probably end it. Not counting Liverpool of course.

really wish we didn’t have pool left in our run in, but at the same time,
West ham could be a banana peel and this could still go anywhere.

One thing we no for sure, is that both us and arse seems to be capable
of both loose or win against anyone at any time ?

4th place won’t be decided before the last two games of the season. No way do any of the contenders build a 7 point lead over the others with 2 games left.

We had the chance last week to make today’s arse manure result irrelevant and didn’t turn up against Brighton, let’s just hope we have learnt our lesson from that (not like every other time when it really matters)
