So Dortmund eh? Facing a scrap on their hands to get the 4th CL place in the 2nd half of the season.

How's Tuchel contrived to not challenge for the title with that squad,

Have a feeling we will lose Aubs and Reus if we do not qualify for CL this season, and probably a few of our promising young players too.

Completely agree. Tuchel for me is much in the Poch mold, one of the best up and coming managers. But i'm completely baffled as to why his team isn't challenging this year. You look at there squad and it's so strong, that's why we love football, it's unpredictable like this at times.

It's a little ironic too, as a lot of us who like to skulk around the transfer forum were jealously looking at the business that Dortmund were doing in the summer, getting Dembele, Gozte, Schurle, and others in comparison to what we were doing. And yet we're going along very nicely.

OK, they are still in the CL, and maybe their league form suffered slightly while they focused on returning to the big show.

It's always the way, look at this season, because Vinny isn't banging them in when he comes off the bench etc and Sissoko cost near 30m (even though he has started to show what he can do), people act like we need to step up in the transfer window. Whereas we signed Wanyama for 11m, Alli, Dier, Toby, Hugo..... these being the most recent at ridiculously low prices. We are very very good in the transfer market. I always feel people are quick to look at the grass being greener else where. Dembele is the only player they got that i really would have liked as we seemed to be crying out for a player with his abilities.

But, still, with their manager and the squad experience they have, it's really surprising that they are struggling a bit in the league.

No red cards for HSV. Just a mauling. Hamburg manager did his team talk at FT on the pitch.

If you combine scores from the last seven games of that fixture, the score is Bayern 44 - 3 HSV :cautious:

Check Danners' post :D

At what point as a Hamburg fan do you think, "you know what? I'm gonna give the trip to Munich a miss this year"?

I know we'd rather not think about it, but our results on Chelscum's patch since 1990 are even worse. And then there was that 73-year wait for a win at Anfield, although we missed a few visits there because of war or us and the Reds being in different divisions.

Yeah but we weren't conceding 5, 6, 8 and 9 on a regular basis.

We did have horrendous runs against both Manchester City and Liverpool recently though.
