On reflection i'm feeling a bit 'meh' over the draw. We could have (and did) play them teams, apart from Moscow in the Europe League. I wanted a bit of a glamour fixture, a Barca or a Bayern. Still, I suppose I can wait until the final :p

Fixture list in CL have been kind to us, atleast on paper.
November ofcourse is the problem month with 2 CL fixtures wedged in between Arsenal, WestHam & Chelsea games

There are always a few teams such as those in our group in the group stages. By the quarter finals it is mainly the bigger clubs left.

So now we're just eyeing up fit birds in the pub but by the quarters were looking up at pole dancers at Spearmint Rhino.

Could have been more glamourous, but I'm stoked for these games now. Bayer are the probably the toughest game here, but with 85000 yids in Wembley, I'm confident.

It would have been nice to have a glamour game like last time when we got Inter. That being said, Leverkusen is a really tough game.

Arsenal will have champions league fixtures as well, West Ham would've had Europa League had they not gone out so hilariously last night, Chelsea will be difficult though.

Now the draw has been announced and with no "glamour" tie in there, has there been a suggestion if tickets will go on general sale and what have we sold already? Would hate to see Wembley anything but full, regardless of the opposition. It's still a novelty at this stage so to be unable to fill it would be disappointing

The club announced nearly 51,000 sold during the initial sale phase so not as many as people thought. Can't see more than 60-65,000 attendance unfortunately

Does that 51k include all the club Wembley tickets? Or any tickets Wembley sells /gives to various people? What about the away allocations? Are they going to get a little more, does anyone know?

Quote from the statement:

Almost 51,000 were sold during this sales phase with the majority of seats available on Levels 1 and 2 completely sold out.

Level 2 is club Wembley so guessing it does include those. Away allocation wont be included in that number purely tickets sold to ST holders & members in the sale period.

@Gb160 not sure why you rated disagree when the information is from the club and not me.....

Happy with that group. Good combination of winnable and good away trips. Leverkusen and Monaco all booked up!

Cos I disagree with your estimated overall attendance.

Edit: @manic041 lol, how can you disagree with that mate?

anyone that drew us wouldn't have been pleased.....
we should be delighted with that draw. Play how we know we can, we should progress and draw some of the larger teams, and get a glamour tie.

Surely the club will now go on an all out offensive in order to sell as many tickets as possible and fill the place? At the right price, I'd happily have a couple of tickets as I'm sure many non-members would. Would be a real shame to see nearly a third of the ground empty when we have given it such fanfare that we are playing there and we have such high demand for tickets.
