Interestingly our friend at sky sports is saying wages aren't an issue but interest from Juventus, Atletico and Dortmund which hasn't really been mentioned here.

I am disgusted by so many players who always say they want a transfer because they want to play in Champions League. Now that we are in CL, it's still not good enough. Instead, it's Manure who are out of CL but seems to be doing fine business of signing new players. These lying wankers should tell the truth by saying what they really want is +100k/wk pay, not this chance to play in CL rubbish.

Which players have turned us down to join Man Utd? Ibra probably will do, but he was always out of our reach and wants to play for José again.

More often than not when we spend over £20m it ends in tears, so lets not eh.

Anyway I think this 1 is done for so lets move on.

We've spent over £20m 3 times- Son, who had an OK season but has a lot of potential to improve, Lamela- who is now a key part of our starting XI, and Soldado- the only example when it has actually ended in tears.

Anyway I think this 1 is done for so lets move on.

Based on what?

this Mirror story then, they've either made it up which is unlikely or someone else wanted them to print it, but who?

His agent could be trying to up the ante in which case could well burn the bridge to a favoured destination club

We think his wages demands are excessive, perhaps MB and his agent having heard what they could get from wham or Everton have suddenly demanded more

Wham, Everton or even Roman fc are trying to up the ante to suss out how high we might go

Good job I'm not a PI.

But we have doubled our premier league money and will have millions more because of champions league so we can afford higher salaries for the right players

You'd know better than me. I wouldn't have thought so, but he's the only player thats been linked to both of us in the press that I could think of.

We would never go for this prick good player yes wants wages that would put the euro zone defecit to shame, and has an ego the size of the ozone layer.
He is a total **** and not someone i would like to see at this club, hope that helps.

It is when it's a guy coming in after two half-decent seasons in Ligue 1, expecting to earn as much as the likes of Kane and Lloris

Where he's coming from is irrelevant. Players at other clubs who cost circa £30m are on a damn site more than £100k per week. We can't expect a £30m signing to be happy with average wages. £100k is a lot for us but pretty much average for the current market.

I wasn't suggesting that we were, or should try and get him. I was just trying to get to the bottom of the comments about players choosing United over us as I can't think of any so far. As far as I know they've only signed one player so far.

But back to Michy...

That's why this should have been wrapped up by now. Levy just never learns...

It's not who is quickest or shouts the loudest that gets a player, every bit of talent in the world is known to any clubs worth their salt. As always Levy will look for value especially for a back up striker.

Transfers don't work like that

Batshuayi said he wants to transfer after the Euros (although Marseille may need to sell him by the end of the month). Not everything is Levy's fault.

It's not just down to Levy. There has to be a willingness to deal on all sides and it's very early to expect clubs, agents, players etc to be signing up when there could be better to be had. OM are doubtless holding out for a mega rich club to throw their hat in the ring and it looks like Levy is testing their metal by having a snout around players like Janssen with Bats allegedly wanting to join us. It's how the game is played.
