Guessing you think this is true then
That's because this last season Marseille did not play possession football, whereas we did. Actually last season Marseille played awful, and he managed to score and assist a lot in spite of
Gignac was 28, he was not ageing or slow. He was actually the last top goalscorer of the league, and Bats was a new player at the team. That season he had the better goalscoring ratio of a sub in the top 5 leagues.
So he was benched because he was 20 yrs old, a new signing and had the last topscorer ahead of him. You are twisting facts
Bats drops into channels, roughs up defenders and works hard. I'm not saying he's better than Kane, just that he has more in his locker. He has practically the same qualities as Kane, but with more pace and ball skills. Kane's advantage is mental. His mental strength and understanding of the game and of the space is what makes him different from everyone else, and why he looks so composed even though he's very young.
Here's a video of Bats for you where he shows some of his qualities

100k-per-week he can fuck off
LIke I said, don't really need the video, I've actually seen lots of Batshuayi. It's not that I dislike the kid, I think he's actually possibly a better finisher and probably has better close technique than Kane, but he really doesn't do all the stuff Kane does. Gignac, like Kane, has always had that mentality (that I've mentioned before and you allude to) he has also never been "quick" but like Kane has always been a grafter whose perseverance gets him goals and he also puts himself about, works defenders over etc. These are the qualities that Bielsa valued and are crucial at the fulcrum of that press from the front approach, despite them actually paying more for Batshauyi and him having superb scoring to minutes on pitch ratio (best in Europe as you point out)
Kane's still learning too lets not forget. He needs to add better decision making, learn there ar times he needs to play the pass and not be stupidly greedy.
100k would put him up there as our top earner though, or at least top 3. So when you take into account he's unproven in any of the top leagues it's a bit ridiculous. I see your point but we'd be paying a big chunk of that £30m on speculative potential, and in those cases the wages dont match the transfer fee. An example would be Lamela. That's not excessive for a player who's going to cost circa £30m.
hasn't it been ITK for A WHILE (like since March) we've had player agreement settled. If that's is the case, how are they only just NOW nego. wages?
Iran Air? People be flocking to use that airline!Marseille are now in the process of a takeover: http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/06/1...keover-with-implications-for-tottenham-newca/
So they won't need to sell him quickly, cheaply or possibly at all
