I think we can list 100s of players that are better than Janssen has been in a Spurs shirt but the problem with any signing like this is its a like for like replacement for Kane who unless injured won't be starting anyway.
And even when he was injured we started Son ahead of Janssen so no wonder the man has no confidence

This this 100 times this.
We signed the top scorer, young and willing, from a lesser league which has given us and our league many top players. If it is deemed that he's not up to it, and I say IF, it would be stone madness to repeat the tactic in a climate where all strikers cost insane amounts. This guy offers the physical attributes Pochettino favours in a centre forward, is a proven regular goal scorer in this league and has several good years ahead of him.
He's not anybody's dream signing, including my, but to not realise that he dramatically improves our options is bloody minded and spoilt.

Not that you meant it in that way I'm sure but I think that is a pretty racist comment because the only thing they have in common is their nationality, their skin colour and their build, nothing like each other as footballers.

I strongly disagree. He would be as big a disaster for us as Darren Bent for exactly the same reasons. They are both very good playing for poor teams with low possession who play on the break and play in high crosses. Put them in a team that dominated possession and they look really poor and their scoring stats fall away. He would be a good signing for WBA but not for us.

I agree. Palace with Benteke and players like Townsend crossing to him was supposed to work, kinda did under Allardyce but de Boer isn't doing that and it seems Townsend might be sold to Leicester. I guess that would be why Benteke could be available as they try to change styles (although de Boer might not last!). It also means Benteke wouldn't work for us. Is he supposed to play with Kane or instead of? I can see that being a disaster as he's not mobile enough to support in any other way than being the guy to knock down long balls, and is such a downgrade on Harry's overall game that we'd all be cursing his name within weeks.
