Not that you meant it in that way I'm sure but I think that is a pretty racist comment because the only thing they have in common is their nationality, their skin colour and their build, nothing like each other as footballers.

I know this is off topic but how on earth is that racist? i'm agreeing with the comment that they are nothing like each others as fotballers but if people continue to throw that word around in that manner the word will soon loose its meaning. And to interpret everything in a negative manner as u did there is just sad.

Crouch would likely be a great back up player to have. Still seems to do ok for Stoke when he's called upon.

I agree. Palace with Benteke and players like Townsend crossing to him was supposed to work, kinda did under Allardyce but de Boer isn't doing that and it seems Townsend might be sold to Leicester. I guess that would be why Benteke could be available as they try to change styles (although de Boer might not last!). It also means Benteke wouldn't work for us. Is he supposed to play with Kane or instead of? I can see that being a disaster as he's not mobile enough to support in any other way than being the guy to knock down long balls, and is such a downgrade on Harry's overall game that we'd all be cursing his name within weeks.

Fan reaction to him would make Sissoko look like the love child of Hoddle and Greaves in comparison.

Fair enough, I guess it means I'm the racist because the only thing I see in common is that they are Belgian and black. Lukaku is a far more talented footballer than Benteke.

IMO Benteke is better than Lukaku. Palace would be committing suicide selling him. Benteke would be a great addition he'd offer a different option to Kane and could actually play in a partnership with Kane in certain games but do not see that happing....cost age

Are people so up themselves that they can't see Benteke's qualities and what he could offer....Personally I would like Janssen to stay another season but if rumours are true we're looking to replace Janssen (if you read my pervious post I am for having Janssen around at least another season) then Benteke is a good option.
