Seems to me he will have plenty of selling/ loaning to do as opposed to most years when he's buying ... but he will be busy!

There's a reason why AVB hung Bale out to dry yesterday and its so everyone gets their anger directed at Bale, not the club and gets over it before the window closes. That way any hope of him staying is pretty much gone. We announce 3 new signings, positivity is high, Bale is announced later but everyone already knew he'd gone.

Remember how we suffered when we lost Dembele,Bale,Defoe,Sandro,Lennon and Ade for many games last season... This season we have depth to cope which is how Chelsea, City and Utd are successful....

It seems to be only a matter of time before Christian Eriksen can be presented as a Tottenham player. Ajax accepted an offer of 90 million DKK for Eriksen late wednesday night after a Skype conference call with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and his right hand man, sporting director Franco Baldini.

This Thursday morning Eriksen's agent Martin Schoots then flew to London in order to negotiate the contract details. According to bt.dk's information Eriksen will triple his salary, from 5.5 million DKK per annum up to 18 million plus bonuses. This will bring him in line with Nicklas Bendtner and Anders Lindegaard, while Andreas Cornelius is close behind with around 16 million per year.

Tottenham want Eriksen to complete his medical as soon as possible, and the English clubs grand plan is to present both Erik Lamela from Roma and Christian Eriksen as new Tottenham players on Friday, and this will also allow Real Madrid to confirm their purchase of Gareth Bale.

It is suggested by English press that Eriksen is unlikely to be handed a debut in the North London Derby against Arsenal next sunday, but he will likely be ready for action after the international break when Tottenham are due to play Norwich on September 14th.

That's exactly my thoughts on the situation. I think in the whole, we, that includes the board and AVB, have handled this situation absolutely superbly. Plenty of times that someone could have said something out of place and for it to have been picked up and manipulated by the press, yet we've handled it all supremely professionally. Something that we haven't seen at least 2 other thunder**** clubs behave like during this window. We've done it the Tottenham way.

Back OT. I think Eriksen will be a superb purchase for us. I like Siggy, but Eriksen has that burst of acceleration and a better first touch than Siggy, meaning he can work in the spaces between Goldado and which ever Beast setup we have behind him. And with Lamela/Chadli/Andros all being able to switch wings or come inside, being able to link everyone up.
