I think it may be Siggy, can't see Holtby going to Holland, surely he would prefer to go to Germany is it was him.

Ashton also said on Twitter - Tom Carroll to Palace on loan.

Would be a great loan for Tommy Carroll...a full year of regular prem football. Very good indeed.

I know it's off topic but if Carroll is our one loan to another Premier League club then they must really rate him. I thought Siggy/Lewis/Kane would have got that slot

The stuff about Holtby is from the Daily Mail ffs. They don't even know what journalistic standards are.

You can loan out as many players as you like to other PL teams, just not more than one to each club.

Can't see it being Holtby. He said he see's himself as more of a no.6 than a no.10 and that's where he wants to play (a shame IMO). Siggy, although not as good, would be more suited to replace Eriksen in the no.10 role.

Agreed. I'd maybe concede that Siggy makes sense (although I think his ability to add depth at LF and as an attacking midfielder is important) but there is no reason to loan Holtby. Eriksen is going to take time to settle in and Holtby is just as good of a talent as Eriksen in my mind. Both should be kept so the one who's not getting all the minutes continues to push the starter.

Strikes me as journalists looking at our incomings and guessing. Has he been linked with a move to Ajax specifically? As that would make it more believable.

I seriously doubt Holtby would be going out on loan. he's had his few months settling in - this season is time for him to prove he has what it takes for us. Eriksen is 21, he isn't going to be playing every single game and AVB loves rotation/variation. As it stands, if we got Chiriches in, we'd have 15 foreign named players in our squad (with Eriksen and Lamela being unnamed), no need to ship anyone out yet.

I haven't read the article as I refuse to use that site at all. However it doesn't take a genius to work out that Siggy will be the man off. Personally I hope it is to Ajax, as I love the way they try to play football despite being pillaged year in year out.

Id be so gutted if Holtby leaves this season, gives his heart and soul into each performance, you need people like that in your squad. Plus he is a talented footballer who kept on being played out of position last season, he needs a full season under his belt to show everyone just how good he can be.

Isn't just the mail tat reported that????

They've become the worst paper for transfer gossip and now I can't even read it

IMO siggy will go. It looks as though we are trying something similar to Chelsea where our three advanced midfielders have pace, guile and goals. Siggy unfortunately has only one of these attributes :(

Cannot see holtby going anywhere as he has the potential to be one of these advanced forwards

If this has been mentioned......apologies.
Just got the chance to look while baking some brownies!!
