Could Chadli be our new centre forward ?

For me he is fine as a back up striker if we get injuries. If he gets his chance and it comes off then keep him in but first give Bobby and Harry a chance to stake a claim. Ade has had more than enough chances and has never offered enough consistency. Would be happy to replace Ade with Rodriguez in January but can't see it happening.

No. Been saying this for ages.

Why?

Chadli has good enough pace, it a big guy to provide a target, has a decent touch, can strike/bend the ball very well, is a good finisher, has an eye for runs in behind, and has the passing ability to supply the other attackers instead of just being a poacher.

So I'm curious, why do you feel so adamantly this wouldn't work?

So, in summary, I'm a tactical genius and Daniel should pay me lots of money right? Can I quietly suggest someone starts a petition? Ta. x

Can't do any worse. I'll throw just about anyone's name in the pot who has a decent player personnel idea.

Call me crazy, but what about Lamela as a false 9?

Apparently the youth team has switched over to a formation utilizing a false 9. It might be Poch's vision for the future.

Not a poor idea but I wouldn't be an advocate of that. Lamela does his best work with his face towards the back line, not away from it and laying off to others. He'd also need to be much more two-footed to be able to turn towards goal better.

No.
Chadli unfortunately is another who falls into the lazy bastard category...here is a guy who has all the attributes to be a top player but couldn't be fucking arsed.
If he put himself about like a Suarez,a Sanchez or an Aguero.........he really could be something special but thats too much like hard work for him,do a little bit here and do a little bit there and pick up my dough at the end of the week.......la-di-da-di-da.

We are 14th for a reason.......too many disinterested fuckers in our team,no good having talent and little desire, can you imagine Chadli or Ade getting away with strolling around for Mourinho or Fergie? Poch must show some balls and drop these fuckers ,

Lamela is a shining light of someone who busts a gut even when playing below his best.

Thats what everyone likes about Lamela....for all his faults, you simply can't knock his attitude.

Whenever I watch Chadli I always end up thinking that for a big guy he gets disposssed too easily, he doesn't seem to know how to use his size and weight to his advantage to dominate defenders. He's a lot like Adebayor in that respect, a couple of real powderpuffs who make defenders jobs easy.

It's true. He has the mentality of a shifty Eredivisie winger but the size of a Prem striker. He has got to find some meeting place between the two if he's to be truly successful. As for now, it's extremely frustrating.

I can't help but ask myself this question on a regular basis but that's because there's such a shortage of guile in his game.
