Michael Richard Dawson.
He'd still be getting regular games now.
Sustained his career mainly by effort of will.

Vinny Samways
Paul Stewart (for some reason loved him when I was a kid)
David Howells
Paul Allen
Steve Sedgley
Paul Walsh
Ian Walker
Paul Moran

Enjoyed watching all of them growing up, for some reason.

Darren Anderton in terms of an absolutely wonderful player who we all knew was incredibly good but outside the club hardly anyone else did, or ever game him credit. His volley against Colombia was better than Beckham's free kick that made all the headlines. Bale-like tekkers.

Mbulelo Mabizela (if we are going to take this half seriously, otherwise BAE/Sandro). I remember him scoring a screamer against Leicester in October 2003, Pleat saying he was suffering from homesickness and then he was never seen again.

Shout out for John Chiedozie. One of my earliest recollections of supporting Spurs. I have no idea if he was any good but he sutuck in my head from the first match I saw. I also remember John Metgod scoring a peach for us. Again, stuck in my memory banks for many years now.

Alfie Conn. Looked the part with the long hair. Saved us from relagation.Absolute legend.

Saw him score a hat-trick in one of his first games for us at Newcastle a very talented player, always remember him sitting on the ball against Leeds after scoring it really pissed off Bremner. Billy Nics last signing I believe.

Oh come on it's got to be Hoddle, the nearest I've ever got to hero-worship. Cult hero is appropriate, I would happily join a Church of Hod. Someone said Gough was the best Spurs defender they'd ever seen. Me to. He was AMAZING. If he had stayed the history of this club would have been very different. Since then Gazza obvs, and Ledley really was the heart and soul of the club for a long time. But in general we haven't had enough real Spurs icons in recent years. VdV threatened to briefly, and Berbatov was a sublime player, but again not here for long enough. Bale pretty much made me cum in my pants a few times when he bombed it at light speed down the wing, but for some reason apart from his incredible play I never connected with the player on an emotional level.
