That's a disappointment. The low risk transfer in a proven Premiership player would have gone a long way to providing a low maintenance alternative, considering the high-risk low-reward we've had overall with Ade and Soldado.
But, this is where Paul Mitchell (and ?Baldini) can cut their mustard.

I'm genuinely shocked that he's opted to go there.
Rodgers has signed Lambert for almost £5mil,
Balotelli for around £16mil,
Sturridge for £12mil (and £150k p/w wages ) ,
Origi for £10mil (and was just named in the team of worst players, after his displays for Lille, in which he scored 8 goals in 33 matches)
Out of those players, only Sturridge has 'succeeded', but, thanks to his many many manyinjuries, he's now making Darren Anderton look like Superman. All the rest have been nothing short of a disaster (I guess Lambert hasn't really been given a fair shot, but is that down to ability or Rodgers ineptness ?)
I'm not sure what my point is? Perhaps I'm just pointing out that strikers aren't exactly pulling up trees if they go to Liverpoo.

I have to agree. I never believe the so-called itk.
Most of it turns out to be wrong anyhow.
I guess we will know how wrong/right it is come August!

I 'think' it would only be a bad idea if he actually posted it in the ITK thread? I don't like to see ITK people being dismissed, I think it's unfair because they are only passing on what they've heard, but as Bobby says, it's down to each individual to believe what they choose to believe.
As long as he keeps it polite, and doesn't purposely go out of his way to slag off any given ITK, I doubt 'the powers that be' would take too much exception ?
That said, Bobby, be careful fella. THFCSPURS does have a point, and saying things like "Supposed ITK" is indeed treading a very fine line.

Kinda glad we didn't sign Ings. I think one bright young english striker is more then enough for us.
Not really a big fan of Ings, he is gonna be like Charlie Adams imo. He was a big fish in a small pond... Not sure if he will fair well in Liverpool.

A shame if he doesn't come as I think he'd be a very useful addition to the squad.
But anyone who wants to join a Liverpool team who we've finished above for 5 of the last 6 years and who has a manager whose one good season was a result of one good player is making a daft decision. It would be most likely for financial or historical reasons rather than the team that would be best for him, and if that's the case then we're better off without him.
