We're not going to get Top 4 any time soon.

So people who disagree with you are numpties? Ironic coming from the person who thinks Bolasie is the best dribbler in the league.
Why not top 4? Dropped lots of points due to tired first team members playing Thursday nights. Stoke Newcastle and so on. Only missed out by 2 wins and a draw. Never said best in league bolasie did I?

Why not Top 4? Simply because I can't see Chelsea, Arsenal, City or United dropping out.

And you did say it. In fact, you said he was not just better, but 'far superior'.
Bolasie tricks and dribbling skill is far superior to any player in the whole league in my opinion

Haha fair fooks I do like him. Van gal is a dodgey manager tho. Injurys forced his hand to fluke the best balanced team and his stars dragged his woeful tactics threw. Had van gal managed our squad we'd of come 9th at best

All we got to do is get a team to beat the teams below us and regardless of the squads the current top 4 has that will be enough to see us threw. Don't have to beat top four head to head to get top four. Just win the rest and I feel we can. In poch I trust. Not ings

We are never going to beat all of the teams below us. No team will. No matter how good the squad is- Chelsea didn't.

That was in reference to Balotelli, Borini & Enrique. We're desperate to get rid of all 3 but that's not that simple.
Ha, you really don't have to tell us how difficult it is to get rid of dressing room trouble - Ade, Kaboul and the rest say hi.

Does anyone else find themselves asking why is Danny Ings the best we can do for what it would take to get him?

From all estimations, it sounds like Ings (after tribunal) could fall somewhere between 5-7m. I have a hard time believing that the juggernaut of a scouting department that we have apparently put together over the past year or so couldn't identify a player in some obscure place that can, at the very least, offer up a skill set similar to Ings.

Michy Batshuayi went to Marseile for a very similar fee last summer. I would take Batshuayi every time over Ings. I understand the allure of Ings given his general success for Burnley, but I know for a fact there's better talent out there, available at similar or less fees, that can blow the talent of Ings out of the water when taken at face value.

Sometimes we put far too much value in looking at a player and if they've done it at the EPL rather than the talent they offer. I understand the idea of being a bit hesitant given our recent history of overseas players turning into duds, but that cannot scare us away from locating, and acquiring, talents that do have great potential despite a lack of experience.

I love Batshuyai as a player, but supposedly character is going to take a portion of the picture we draw up of a player and that's an area which Ings blows Batshuayi out of the water in (supposedly) otherwise I somewhat agree. Although this scouting department is in its infancy so it's hard to expect miracles right now. Especially if what we're looking for is strikers because no scouting department reliably gets good strikers.

Wouldnt worry about it, going to Liverpool by all accounts.

As talented as he was, its why he will never go down as a true great imo. He should have played a lot more games for United than he did but his lazy attitude put a stop to that.

What about ronaldo then?

The so called invincibles were only that because they drew so many games. They got their name from not being beaten rather than beating everybody.

They still won 26 matches. That's 3 shy of the record and finished 11 points clear.

I wrote that comment a few drinks in but the point re: Batshuayi was more of one that there's better talent (in my opinion) out there for the same price that Ings would require.
